I don't get it. What did you EXPECT to happen? You basicaly told everybody that they didn't know what they were talking about and if they didn't like Journey any longer that you would like to know why they were in the forum in the first place.

Then the party thing is brought...Well, when you associate with people who have expressed such HATRED towards the posters of BT, and blatantly insulted them, do you expect them to be happy and accepting to you?

I expect people to use a little more thought, and base their responses on good information, not the delusional rantings based on a 6 paragraph statement that wasn't overly informative. They don't posses the information required to make an informed opinion. And Journey is not required to give them one.

Well, Mr. Spock, you expect too much out of Bones since he reacts and bases his 'opinion' so much on emotion at times. It is not a REQUIREMENT to be "informed" to have an opinion. I also believe saying they are 'delusional' rantings is a bit of an emotional response from you. . Vulcans are not equpped for such emotions and you had best keep them in check.

Journey may not be REQUIRED to give out more information, and neither is Andrew. However, it is a pretty damn STUPID decision not to. If it was a MUTUAL decision between Augeri and Perry, why the hell didn't they even give a HINT that it was? The way this has been presented it SEEMS like Augeri got sick, JSS stepped in for the tour. They like JSS better so they told Augeri to take a hike. That's the way this has been presented.

This is the most ridiculous fiasco that could have ever happened...and Journey has nobody to blame but themselves.

I do have a very nice, genuine friend who is very unhappy about this..I do understand her frustration..She has the class not to go on a rampage though..I respect her point of view

Look, those over there are about to leap from the bridge.....over anger.....and get this, they fought me tooth and nail, told me I was spreading lies, and now, they ALL admit tapes were in fact used. However, now, instead of saying Dean was a liar, they blame Neal, Jon and Deen and the guy they fight for, was the deceiver. Let em go. One by one, the fanbase gets a little better and a lot lighter.

They have to have their say as all of us do on these message boards, it is understandable. I think they are blaming the band for "holding a gun" to SA to make him use tapes...that he is the innocent one. What - he couldn't say, "no way, I have principles - I have greater respect for this band than that" ??

If you actually READ the posts there you will find that "using tapes" subject is hardly even brought up. Most people are pssied about the statements...and I think they are a bit justified in it. I wonder if they really understand how badly they have handled this.

I do read thru the BS, and there is always a huge amount coming from you. The tape thing is hardly even brought up. I think most there are scared to even post about it. Yeah, they blame Neal for having an ego...and recent events seem to support that theory. So what?

The bottom line is they feel that Augeri got screwed. The band statement and interviews LEAVE THAT IMPRESSION. That is general impression that this entire scenerio has given. I can't believe that THIS is what Journey wanted.

What kinda yes-men are surrounding Journey nowadays? Is all they hear that JSS is a vocal god, that for every fan that leaves 10 will come aboard, Journey blew away DL every show, Journey can sell large venues and be as big as they were in 198x? My god, when is reality going to smack those guys in the face?

There is so much over-hyped, exagerated, BULLSHIT being thrown around that Journey doesn't even know how to talk to their fans anymore. There is NO connection there. They now only connect with a TINY minority of people who seem to praise everything they do....and this is what it has led to - TOTAL CHAOS.

Hmm I have a friend like that too. She isn't on BT spouting off either. She was never a Journey fan. She supported SA since his TS days in NY. She has actually started to really appreciate JSS & is getting really into his back catalogue. See, that's what all these naysayers need to do. If they really heard JSS & what he's written, they'd realize what a bonus he is to Journey.

They are there because they are fans of the Augeri led Journey and are pissed off at how the band handled this situation, and the interviews that Andrew has on this site.

So, give it more then just a few days. This time next year may be at least a LITTLE different.

This is EXACTLY what's pissed me off. I can't speak for anyone else but it appears to me that many feel the same.

You're right. JOURNEY's got no one to blame for the reactions except themselves. You just can't blame people for their reactions to the whole "BUH-bye!" attitude seemingly expressed towards SA.

This will eventually blow over like all of the other personnel changes in the past but it will leave a bad taste in many people's mouths.

Fortunately, for each one of those people ten more will enjoy a sweet taste. I still can't believe the 1-10 statement was made. I know it was well-intended but it came across as much of a heartless remark as the whole announcement did.

I thought the 1 and 10 comment was dead on, gutsy, and straight up honest. Not something you see everyday, especially with Journey.
