I just got off the phone with Hugo....it's been a while since we talked, but he wanted to say hi to everyone.

He knows there is a lot of people that dig what he does and soem that don't...

For those that do - there will be an update at the Evolution website featuring some in the studio video soon

Might have some other Hugo news in the months to come...stay tuned.

Cool...maybe, they will come to CA - I'd go see them...what's not to like? Hugo sounds & looks like my fave guy. I also like that video he did in the 80s - I'll have to go find it now on youtube. Are there any interviews you did with him, Andrew? (oops, forgot you are taking a break)

Thanks for the update mate. Hugo fuckin ROCKS by the way. So when is the full tilt interview and when shall we expect some new music from him? Tell him to get off his ass and make a new cd! Secondly, tell him to start playing his own stuff live and I'll use my now extra left over concert money to make a trip to the east coast.

Thanks, Andrew...when was this interview done? Some other similarities with SP, like losing his mother too & his fave song, 'Happy to Give' -- I'm intrigued. Anyone know what Hugo's nationality is & his age? Are there any pics of him when he was younger? What did he think when he realized he sounded & looked like SP - was he a fan since Infinity? Maybe, he should just get on here and answer himself? Or I should go find the answers.

Interview was from 2003.

I only had a 10 minute chat with Hugo on this occasion, no formal interview. Just had to put an idea to him, which he was interestd in and then caught up on what he has been up to.
Evolution shows is about it musically....he's doing well though.

So much for those who said Hugo sounded "thin and weak". This studio recording shows that his voice is anything but that! The cheaply recorded Evolution videos on YouTube.com don't do justice to Hugo's voice.

Wow, Tree! Hadn't seen that...he was hot in that vid!...cant say the song was that great.....I mean the song, not his singing.......but he sure looked good!

I saw Hugo and his band a few years ago at Jaxx in VA. Put on a great show. They have never came back to the area. A couple of years ago I discovered Jeremey and Frontiers. Those guy's kick ass. I don't miss a Frontiers show! A great fix for a Journey freak.

Now that high note, Hugo hits in the video is "wild"! Yep, he does resemble SP dressed in the black - "veddy nice". But, how old is he now?

Ditto! What a great way to start the day, with a big dose of Perry/Journey.

And yes, I did notice that Gregg Rollie didn't seem to be enjoying himself in this video at all. I think it was right before he bailed out on Journey, so that probably explains it.

Hugo's work is pretty good. I really like Valentine, Open Skyz, and his first and third cds-ERIC

Just want to let all the Hugo and EVOLUTION fans know that the band has there promo video coming out next week, they are going to post a link to it on this board. I heard it is amazing. Can't wait to talk about that.
