Ok guys, someone out there must know the story with this one. I picked up "In The Beginning" on CD in Tower Records in London around 2000. It's on Columbia and was pressed up in Germany. I mentioned it on another board and was offered a serious amount of money for it privately!? Is it really that rare?

I think it's pretty rare....
Came out in the Perry era, right, compiling the best of the pre-Perrys?

Yes it is, at least on CD. Only printed in a limited quantity, I believe, and only in Europe. I have it on cassette, but I've been looking for it on CD for a long time. If you're a Journey fan or a collector or both, I'd recommend hanging on to that one.

I have this too, but mine is a two LP set. Mine also says that it was manufactured in the USA. I got mine in a lot of 8 Journey lp's on ebay that I paid 8 bucks for. The vinyl is in excellent condition, but I don't have a turntable to play it on !
