There's a big topic that covered this in major detail awhile back.
What it basically boiled down to is that the ones released in August were the same quality.

The October release ones were remastered. Check out the ROR reissue, you can really tell the difference.

The first batch were Infinity, Evolution, Departure, and Escape, not remastered.

The second batch was Captured, Frontiers, Raised On Radio, and Trial By Fire, remastered. Ya know, cause Trial By Fire totally needed remastering and upgrading more than Infinity.

Why? Who the hell knows. I wish someone would've asked Perry about this in that Q&A a couple months back.

Departue was left off of the first batch, it has the same mastering as the second batch.

Perry only answers questions that are hand selected.....by him most likely. As for questions that SHOULD have been answered...here are a few of mine:

1) Yes or no Steve....Do you ever see yourself performing with Journey again?
2) Yes or no Steve....Will you be releasing any new material this year?
3) Yes or no Steve....Did you make the band sign the supposed "gag order?" (If so, you're a real dickhead)
4) Yes or no Steve....Will you ever work with Neal Schon again?
5) Yes or no Steve....Could you take the Frig in a fight?

I did ask about that... or at least it was close to that. But it wasn't answered.

Maybe signing some chick's used thong made for a better question than the reissues? Dunno.
Note to self - ask better questions next time. ROFL!
