OT: Anyone remember/heard of China Sky?

I've been revisiting some of my 80's hair bands recently and I was wondering if anyone had heard of the band China Sky? They were a 3-piece that were obviously heavily influenced by Journey. The same sweeping harmonies completed with intricate guitar work and keyboards.

One of the members was Bobby Ingram, now of Molly Hatchet

I used to have it on LP. From what I remember it was good. Someone had the torrent posted on the komodo island site, but there weren't enough seeders. This is out of print, and if someone wants to share it, that would be very cool. Haven't heard it in years.

Wow - I cant believe you guys have heard of China Sky.

Bobby Ingram gave up their record deal to accept the offer to replace founding memebr Dave Hlubek in Molly Hatchet back in '86 and he has been in MH ever since then. The late Duane Roland sold Bobby the rights to the 'Hatchet name/trademark around 2000 and the band continues to record and tour with Ingram as leader, and ironically, Hlubek returned to MH in 2005 and now works for Bobby.

Havent heard the entire CS CD, but the few songs I have heard are very melodic, 80's hair band sound.

He'll get a kick that China Sky was mentioned on the Journey board!

I have it too! Great CD! Kind of a mix of Journey with some southern guitar jams. Bobby can play. I'll have to pull that one out again.

Thanks for posting that!

I think I got the China Sky album the same day I bought Dare's Out of the Silence on cassette. I haven't heard the China Sky though in a really long time.

Much appreciated!!!!!!!!

Ah well, T-Bone beat me to it. I was going to upload it today ;)

The final track, The Last Romantic Warrior, is pure Journey.
