I'm tired of waiting on Journey for new material. They've supposedly got all this new energy yet they're going to make their fans (yeah, those who stuck with them through all the BS they put us through) wait for new material?

I'm bored with the band and their whole deal.

I wanna hear something NEW.

Better to make us wait rather than rush releasing something crap.

When I saw this thread title, I figured it was referring to Perry.

Neal is MR. Creative and with Sotto and Cain AND the new energy, I would've thought they'd have something in the can by now, even if it's wiping previously "in the can" stuff's vocals and adding Jeff's.

I want the album too. I don't see the need for these fuckin acts of congress the band always has to seem to get passed before putting a record out. And I realize full-well it's not as lucrative as it was but man.

Come on, the uys need a break. They are all pretty much a few years away from collecting Social Security checks and just don't have the stamina they used to

But seriously, they have een non-stop since last year. I'm glad they are taking a long rest.

You're right. Generations was pushed by Augeri because Neal was focused on SS and who knows about Jon.

Exactly, the last thing I want them doing is rushing it. Between the European tour and Jeff's upcoming Talisman tour, they need some down time. Good things come to those who wait!

But then again, after reading Jeff's post in the LITT thread and hearing how rushed he was and had that CD out in 11 days, he just might do his best work under pressure.

Sadly, because of the Arrival fiasco that got Friga's blood boiling,
I don't think the band will release anything, demo or finished product, to us or anyone. Kinda sucks.

BTW, anyone know what the new tune is???

I applaud the guys and Jeff for being classy enough to not leave the Talisman guys hung out to dry. Jeff is fulfiling an obligation he made and Journey is waiting patiently for him to finish. Class all the way around. Good to see that word re-enter the Journey camp. Thanks, Jeff.

Knowing that you're half kidding and admitting I'd like to hear it first and soon myself...I have to say it's way past time that Journey start going in the direction they feel led in musically and not give a damn what anyone but them think about it or what people outside the band think Journey should be.....then on the other hand, the last time they did that we got ROR ....others would no doubt say Red13 (which I love) and Ross on vocals...

With all due respect , have you listened to all Talisman songs fucker?
A band with 17 years of history and so many great songs, deserves a last 20 days of touring!

Besides I dont think the Talisman deal is really whats 'delaying' the new Journey cd. I think a year from now is about the right time when theyre ready to release the new cd, regardless of the Talisman Farewell Tour.

I know most of you want the new songs NOW, but trust me , it will be worth the wait. If they would just try to rush the cd and get it out this year, it would sound a lot more like Soul Sirkus than Journey.

They seemed to spend a lot of time on Generations and most of that was filler.

They used to put out awesome albums every year, i know that was driven by $ but they sure did well under pressure then.

Would love to hear 1 song to show us what the new journey sound is. So we can really embrace the new band.
