Heck, they were only demos... heh, some of those tracks were recorded in a sauna at Deerhurst Resort.

She's *incredible* live - saw her first in Hyde Park (audience of 85,000) and another time in Helsinki (12,000)

I would vote for Cher but she was not on the list.

If you disregard personality, looks, good works in the community and strip it down to just the voice=Ann Wilson. She's also a good person too though.
Ann's voice has a joy in it even when she's singing a dark song. She can lay melody into the tune without even the accompaniment of instruments. "Dog and Butterfly" is the most beautiful song ever recorded.

DAMN, I wished she would've joined Van Halen instead of Gary Cherone!!!!

Had to go with Stevie Nicks, but Ann Wilson and Joplin are right up there, too.

I will add Patty Smyth (Scandal), Jann Arden and Heather Nova

Ann Wilson is one of my favorites.

Amy Lee should also be on this list. Evanescence is a very good band.

Benatar. She sounds like no one else. Ann Wilson's terrific but sounds too much like Robert Plant to be as completely unique as Benatar.

And Neil Giraldo's about as good a guitarist as there is. They're perfect together.

And get Joplin off this list, Christ he she makes my ears hemmorhage.

My vote is for Ann Wilson. Just saw Heart the other night. Her voice is still unbelievable.

Honestly can't decide between Ann Wilson and Pat Benatar, too close. And with ya Red when it comes to Janis Joplin. While I really like Sass for her gritty vocals, never did get the appeal of Joplin's.

Two more great choices AR, Patty and Jann, but not sure who Heather Nova is.

I had to go with Ann Wilson, I've always loved her voice. But I also really like newcomer Josh Stone. Her voice has such a great tone. Also Amy Lee is on my list of faves as well.

Did ya'll know that Jeff and Lita Ford worked together on her 1991 cd Dangerous Curves. Jeff does the back ground on songs such as " Shot Of Poison" ,"Black Widow" and "Hellbound Train". On "Hellbound Train" even though Jeff is supposed to be the backing vocals, but you hear his voice louder and clearer than Lita's! 'Atta boy, Jeffrey
