Should I assume that's correct or will there still be a couple of 'one off' shows this year?

Will they return to Europe for some festival shows this summer? I remember reading a couple of articles which said they were contemplating this....

When do they officially hit the studio and are they considering a NEW label and/or producer?

How many songs are already written for the new CD?

Hey Jrnyjester

I am sure Jeff is already over in the UK for his Talisman Farewell Tour which runs for about the first week in June and then he has a gig at the end of June ( all from his website). Then I believe he will take some much needed rest time and they will start working on laying down the tracks late summer for an late fall early winter release ( heard that management would like the new album out by end of year ) and then a killer world tour next year on the heels of the new album. It would not surprise me if they released exclusively through walmart either

Oh really, you think so? :o So that idea's been tossed around, hah? I'm not very fond of WalMart...but anything to get your music out there to the masses I suppose...

I avoid Wal-Mart like the plaque.

If Wal-Mart is the best way to get it out to the masses, they should do it. This is the time from these guy's to push it.

As far as this thread goes, it's time to assume the guys AND management are going to do what is necessary to take the band as high as they can go. It's time to put the Perry comeback shit to rest as far as Journey goes (Did I just say that!! :o ). Steve will move on in life doing what he wants. Journey, with our backing, will surge ahead with a new album and tour, and hopefully all parties will be blessed with health, happiness and artistic outlets that serve their specific needs. I love ALL of Journey, past and present. Dan

why would they do this? (no, an honest question).
Walmart's got a LOT of bad PR in the past year or so. I think they should avoid it.
Maybe they could follow the McCartney deal and head for the Starbuck's label. Apparently, they moved a hell of a lot of CDs in the past few years.

I can't wait. I think we all need to do our parts too. We need to support this thing as best we can. Tell all of your friends to buy it. Call the radio stations to play it daily. Play it in your car for your friends, and last but not least, don't pirate the fucking thing to anyone or from anyone! I'm making a pledge right here that we as a group of Journey fans vow never to pirate this CD. I hope all of you are with me on this. These guys play their asses off for us. The least we can do is pay something under $20.00 to buy the CD. Alright?
