Okay...who knows what?

Sorry to try to be rational, but is there actual a credible source regarding how this all went down? Everyone is assuming that Neal adnd Jon screwed Soto - and maybe they did - but has anyone actually provided any evidence that they jerked the guy over? Seriously...I've sifted through a million posts tonight and all I see is a lot of speculation about how it went down and the usual threats from Jabba the Hut. Is there more?

You are so correct. Speculation and let's rip on Schon and Cain bullshit. Nobody knows anything. And maybe we never will, but you know the speculation and BS will never end with some.

Bottom line is and I said it from the start
They used the guy to stay out of court
Soto was never going to be the lead singer of JRNY he did not match,
Kevin Chalfant will be the new singer im convinced,
His JRNY cover cd got him the gig
The guy can sing JRNY period.

Kevin is a great guy and I'd say that they fucked him too, but under the circumstances they HAD to leave him high and dry. I would LOVE to hear what he did with them in the early 90's though.

It's speculation, but it's fact that JSS really had no idea what was going on until just before we knew. We don't know why, but we do know how poorly it was handled, and for that, Friga and Neal kind of deserve what they're getting (from fans here, at least).

I'm a musician, I completely understand band members not working out, it's life in a band, but there's a mature, professional way to handle it...and there's the Journey way.

Yeah, and those who supposedly 'know all' said Journey would 'make waves' and release an album by the end of they year.

At this point, how can any of you speculate on what Journey will or will not do? What they say means very little - and you ALL should have known that a year ago.

Yeah, they deserve a few dozen fans pouting about their latest decision. I'm sure they are all hurt over that. THEY DON'T CARE. Can you not see that?

Valid points....for once. Bottom line is this: KC will NOT be the new singer. That is a fact.

Yeah, the same points I was making six to eight months ago. Only this time you can't ignore them since Journey hit you in the gut and axed the future you were looking forward to.

Some of you ignore everything that has happened in the past in favor of a future YOU want to happen...The truth is that Journey has said a LOT of things in the past that never came about, long before JSS was part of this band. They say one thing and do another. Anybody who takes 'behind the scenes' info as a written in stone future is an absolute fool...recent evens prove that.

What I'm confused on is all the people "in the know" were ("by process of elimination") pointing fingers to Jeremey. Sounds like he hasn't even auditioned. If this is the case, nothing is for sure. I've been in many bands, and hearing a demo versus auditioning are two totally different things.

Also, why can't these people "in the know" speak freely. If they are not affiliated with Journey, there's no gag order law preventing them from speaking out.

All I know is JSS is out.

No one here know what exactly happened. There's many conversations that are just among band members. Even if people here know someone affiliated with the band, that doesn't mean jack.

The real folks who know, aren't even on this board.

It will be interesting to get JSS take.

Did u ever hear what happens when u ASSUME? Quit reading into things.

Maybe b/c they have a little respect. Maybe b/c u dont need to know. Ever think of that?

Yep. Think he'll tell u anytime soon? Be sure to report back when he does.

Now THAT would be interested. Did JSS really post hear as this all broke? I haven't been able to find that post.

Frankly, I have no problem with the band not keeping him on as singer. It's their choice to make, and better to make a chance now than down the road. Let's be honest...these guys are getting older, and they isn't necessarily a lot of road left.

HOWEVER, you don't need to cr#p all over a guy when you make a change. If JSS actually posted that he had no idea what was going on, that would be disturbing. And yeah, it's not like these guys (or Perry for that matter) have a great history in that regard. But if it didn't come straight from JSS's keyboard, I don't really place much confidence in what "those in the know" say if they can't back it up.

Yeah, like maybe Neal and Jonathan totally had nothing to do with it! Their like musical savants, and management just puts them on stage or in studio and they play and play! Its all really mindless, you know. Its those mean managers that do all those bad things, really! Think about it, how could guys who write songs like "faithfully" ever be into betrayal or foul-play, makes no sense! Good point man, I'm sure our guys are innocent. Maybe Jeff was saying too many bad words or something.
