I dont care if its a one time thing,
GET PERRY/SCHON/ROLIE/VALORY/DUNSBAR all in one room, lock em up for 24 hours
get all their differences out in the open, then come on stage for a one night only
2008 show for the 30 year anniversary of infinity!! ALA bands reunited and have VH1
sponser the show, no labels managers and suck ups... just these guys together.
I know its really a stretch and way far out there, but why the hell not try it.

They would get on stage and play the cd thats about it
Perry could not sing Infinity stuff anymore,
If he could he would have never quit JRNY

VH1 would only do it for the 81-83 lineup.
78 would go out there and everybody'd go "La Do Da? When will they play Open Arms, Faithfully and DSB?"

missed the point... on the bands runited, it was all about the first LP in this case Journeys first with Steve Perry... THESE FANS WOULD KNOW ITS ABOUT INFINITY... its not about
open arms, faithully or DSB... remember, Rolie is here at this show and Not cain.

True, Rick...given that what a dream come true that would be.
I thought they kinda did not nec. the first LP lineup but the so-called "quintessential" one, which in this case would be '81...?
Watched ABC and The Motels on "Bands Reuinited" just this past weekend....although somewhat stagedm, a very very cool show.

Well, once VH-1 saw what happened after they put Journey on Behind the Music, I'm willing to bet they went ahead and crossed them off the list for Bands Reunited.

"Uh, yeah, guys, I think we can scrap this one... let's see what Tears for Fears is up to instead..." Heh heh.

They don't need VH-1. They need to reunite Classic Journey period. 81-83-86-96 and TV radio and other venues will flock to them. They could still be explosive at this point and I think Perry knows that more than the rest.

A one off show featuring all members (well almost all) on targeted songs spanning the history of Journey. That would be awesome. Dunbar on drums? Well, on a couple of songs sure...
Having some insight into the way Journey (collectively) has 'shifted' staff throughout the years, and the torched bridge approach that seems to pervade recent events, I doubt everyone is on each other christmas lists, let alone possessing the necessary desire to work together again...without some SERIOUS coaching.
Unfortunately, time is ticking, everyone is 'getting on' in their lives, and the music is becoming less relevant, even after the unprecedented Sopranos 'bump'. It's now or never guys (Git R Done)...

p.s. I cannnot believe No-One recorded the "House of Blues" gig which Smitty came down to...
