I read somewhere that 'Anyway' from FTLOSM had something to do with getting Journey back together... anyone know what happened, of if this is even true?

I've never heard anything about that. There is an interview, it can probably be found on USPFC if that site still exists, where Steve says he didn't for the song to sound like he wanted to go back to Journey.

I've seen loons at frank's place say that that song was supposed to be some sort of apology (for nothing I guess since he really owed none? ) to Schon/Cain.

It was from FTLOSM, so if it was, it worked. They did TBF after that.

I think it's pretty obvious...

We believed in music
Brothers until the end
Nothing stood between us
A fire burned within
Oh how I remember
Wounded but alive
Lost in my insanity
Escaping to survive

Now, the whole song isn't specific to the Journey guys, but that verse obviously is. Unless it's to the Alien Project guys (never though of it THAT way before). But no, it's clearly to Neal, Jon, Ross and Smitty.
