Remember Me

I was listening to this song earlier and I got to thinking...What if JSS and Augeri got together, snagged Deen away from the rubble that's known as Journey, and put a band together called Remember Me. I think it would be a nice little jab at certain people. Just a thought. Again...I'm still drunk.

Too bad Deen will never leave Neal's side.
I thought this was some sort of premonition thread.

In that case...get Smitty.
No premonition...just something that would be cool in my eyes, AND rather vindictive.

Moyes Lucas was a pretty damned good drummer on the Perry '94 tour. Is he still around?

Not sure. How about Jeff Campitelli (Joe Satriani). The guy is DAMN good.

Mike Portnoy. The guy'd shit his pants backing up for Perry, but it's all good.

And get Petrucci (SP?) for lead guitar....HOLY SHIT...that'd be AWESOME.

The best I ever saw of Petrucci was a clinic with Derek Sherinian a long time ago. John can kick many guitarists asses.
I even saw DT live, but it ws for tat damn concept album. They played the whole concept album, and only a medley of their much better songs.

yup
for my money, it was their worst work up to that point. I stopped following them closely after that concert.

There are only 4 songs on that album that I like. Beyond This Life, Strange Deja Vu, One Last Time, and Dance of Eternity. The rest of the album was crap IMO. Did 'Drew ever do a review of this album???

yeah, I'm pretty sure he did at one point. He's a nut for DT. Or at least used to be, from what i recall.

I know it's a LOT harder edged but I LOVE Train Of Thought. The main riff in As I Am is GREAT.

Oh, wow. That's an interesting viewpoint. Most DT fans feel it's their best work ever. How come you feel it's their worst up to then? The songs just don't grab you?

DT was never about concepts up to that point. Not like THAT CD was. It wasn't the CD that lost me as much as playing the whole thing in concert. Plus they were in the rut that Journey has gotten to, where they were playing the same setlist every sngle night, according to people in the audience that had seen them multiple times on that tour.
When they announced that it would be the "last time" they'd play their older material live, well... I didn't believe it, but I was a bit pissed that they took 30 minutes of music and cut it to 10 minutes.
The guys are and those who have been in the bad, ALL very talented. That's not what lost me.

I know you were asking him but I feel that most of the songs on that album SUCKED. Aside from the 4 I mentioned earlier, it was just BORING. Kinda like the Yes - Talk album. Snooze fest.

Yeah, but it sets the tone for just a great heavy & complex album. I like the guitar feedback in it.
The rest of the album is amazing, I always hear something new every time I put it on.
Balls & chunk!

"Talk" was much better than either "Union" or "Big Generator", the latter being my least favorite of all their albums.

I love how people's opinions differ.

...I LOVE Union. Shock to The System and Holding On are a couple of my favorite Yes tracks.

And I'm not a fan of Union...and the tour? Now that was a total snooze-fest!
Whereas I LOVE Big Generator and Talk. Yes took a huge backward step in the late 80s and by the time they returned to their senses in the early 1990s and allowed Trevor Rabin to take control again they'd lost momentum....

Don't get me wrong, there are a handful of tracks on "Union" that are excellent but the album was far from a "Union", in my opinion. Overall, it's a good album but I don't like it as well as "Talk".

"Big Generator" was a snoozefest, in my opinion. Yuck! As far as Yes studio albums go, it's last on my list...
- Fragile
- Going for the One
- Close to the Edge
- The Yes Album
- Keystudio
- Relayer
- 90125
- Magnification
- Drama
- Tales from Topographic Oceans
- Tormato
- The Ladder
- Talk
- Yes
- ABWH
- Union
- Open Your Eyes
- Time and a Word
- Big Generator

Big Generator WAS a snooze fest...I'll agree with ya on that, bro.
I'll actually say that The Ladder is my favorite Yes album and Siberian Khatru live from Keys to Ascension is my favorite song.

I love that version of SK. I especially love the classical intro. It fits perfectly. I just wish they'd included more of it on the album.
