on the MelodicRock page describing the show you mention "Chicago/South Bend local time." If I'm not mistaken, SB is 1 hour ahead of Chicago. I say this because when I was there my phone turned an hour ahead when I reached SB. These days, people look for any little to bitch about on this board, so I thought I'd give you a "heads up" on that. maybe a local can tell us more. Any South Benders here?

You're correct. South Bend is on Easter Standard Time.
Up until last year, Indiana was the only state who wouldnt change their time according to day light savings. So half the year they were on Eastern time and half the year on Central Time!!
But Now they do it right and theyre on Eastern Standard time all the time, which means theyre one hour ahead of Chicago.

chicago is central daylight time
south bend is eastern daylight time
cyndy is pacific daylight time & she refuses to use her shift key

Actually, Arizona and Hawaii both are still not on daylight savings time. Besides that Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa are also U.S. territories that don't observe it, either. In my opinion the entire country should dump DST altogether.

I found this out last week and have corrected the frontpage references to time...will fix that today.

I lived in Indiana for 18 years. I just moved back to the Gulf. I lived in Rochester, IN. We were about 45 minutes SOUTH of SOUTH BEND. The next county over from us, Pulaski County is on Central Time, and YES..it sucks!! It was daylight till after 9pm at times, now I can imagine what it's like now..Also, let's not talk about what Daniels has done{dumb-shit} as everyone calls him, is doing to the State Hospital in Logansport. He also cut staff, so if you're getting a STATE TAX REFUND, don't hold your breath. I called about mine on June 12th and they said they were still working on January!!!

Daniels actually hasn't been that bad of a Governor overall. At least he is trying to do something, unlike either Kernan or O'Bannon before him. I didn't live here when Bayh was governor, so I can't comment on him, though I think he's a huge disappointment as a Senator.

Bayh was a better Govenor than senator. I wish he would come back and be Govenor. I liked Kernan and I feel he wasn't given the chance to do all he could do. I liked him. Daniels, I'm just not sure of.
