What other option is left? Oh yeah, that's right. None.
95% of people looking at that page don't care to know the difference anyways.
Its marketing.

I had assumed that myspace page was a fan based page. No? It is management's doing?

If so... gawd.

lmao... all bashing of the current situation aside..... LOTS of artists have MySpace pages.... its pretty fucking ironic that peeps were pissing all over the band for not using the internet to help market themselves.... and here it is they now have a MySpace page.... and fans are pissing and moaning about them having one.....

CLUE: lots of kids like Perry-era Journey... so MySpace is a pretty easy stretch....

just think it odd that NOW they are adding all this perry stuff. if they REALLY wanted to market themselves they would take risks & move forward instead of living in the past. they had that chance & blew it. boo!

Yeah, surprising that they even mention Steve Perry's name on the myspace...considering what they had on their official site which was more like blink & you'll miss his name...a footnote. I think they had more said about George Tickner's contribution!

I also doubt any of them will take the time to write a blog or update on new projects (as if they had anything good going on anyway), or even just to shoot the shit. At least certain former members we know and love take the time to do that.

Maybe Perry is taking over the marketing of the myspace page like he did with the Houston DVD and the GH DVD.

Nothing new

The myspace page is not new. It went up last year.

The band had put up one (I believe Jeff had a hand in the idea and getting them started)

Then Sony/BMG came along and filed a complaint with myspace saying that as the
label they had the rights and already had a page up, and they won.

Actually there was a merging of the site that the band had done (I believe Sarah had worked on it)
and the Sony/BMG page so that the only page on myspace was the "official"

This all went on prior to the release of the reissues.

http://www.journeyband.com is SonyBMG 's regular webpage for Journey.

Click on "news" and you will find 10 vids - excellent condition.

first of all i wasn't talking to you. second of all AR is always attacking people about there post with his ghetto lingo and his high morals when i'm assuming he's a ravens fan. correct me if i'm wrong football fans but the owner of the ravens did the same god damn thing to the city of cleveland as journey did to a few of there lead singers. differen't sport but the same ball game. just making a point. it's easy to just sit back and drill people on what they post. walk out on your own limb if your so fucking insightful and intelligent. this post isn't directed towards you. so stick your "plethora" up your ass. thanks for your advice though.

what do i think? i think it was fucked up. you just don't treat people that way. especially nice people like jss. they should have talked to the man face to face & not take the chicken shit way about doing things. breaking up with someone over the phone is just lame. basically that's what they did. oh well... fuck neal & fuck jon... they are soulless shitheads. jss is in a far better place & he has the love & respect of a lot of people. the journey for me is over... rock on jeff! }=C))

And fuck you and the horse you came in on. Who the HELL are you to start droppin bombs in here???

Fuck you. Fuckin' newbies piss me off. NOT meaning the cool ones, just the jerks who don't know WHAT THE SEARCH TOPIC BUTTON IS FOR... asshole.

1) My comment WAS directed to you, because you are new, and we do not need yet another thread hijacked about 'what do we think about what happened'..blah blah blah. I was being courteous. Perhaps you hadn't seen the search button.

2) I'm not AR, and who the fuck gives a damn about a sports team and what they allegedly did or didn't do.

Now you just pissed me off, and on the wrong fuckin day to piss me off. NOTED LOGGED Asshole!

Speaking as one of the "cool newbies", the search feature is pretty standard on most forums. And finding answers to your questions through searching first is just good 'Net manners (or netiquette, whatever you wanna call it). Its not rocket surgery.

Slight hijack. . .
Hey, playitloudforme. . .can you tell me if there's a place here at MR where I can find out more about Circus Diablo? I am all about Billy Duffy. ;) Okay, end of hijack. Please return to your regularly scheduled thread.

Hey Torch -- circusdiablo.com

The new cd KICKS ASS! I haven't stopped playing it. Billy & Billy (my billy sandwich) put together some fantastic new songs! Loaded & Shine are my two favorites, and they did a cover of Ants Invasion that is supreme!

They are on Rockline this Monday, and will be raffling off a Day with Diablo at a Listening Party at Snitch, in NYC on Monday as well. (I think it's Monday...damned if I can remember now). FYE stores definitely have them in. If you click on my banner, it plays Loaded and So Fine, two of the tracks.

If you are West Coast, then get to the Roxy on the 20th. I'm getting the world premiere Circus Diablo tattoo, courtesy of Circus Diablo and Shamrock Social Club. They're playing at Ozzfest all this summer, so not sure when they hit Texas, but that would be an option.

Hijack over. Sorry all. I'm a street team thingy.

At least the Modell family gave the Cleveland fans a chance to say goodbye to their team, which is alot more than we Baltimoreans got when the Ursays & the Colts snuck out on us. That's basically what Journey did in regards to Jeff and his fans, choosing the shittiest of ways to make a change. Think about that before you choose to chastise a Ravens fan. We know from whence we speak on matters like this.
