Working for the same restaurant for over 10 years and 2 weeks ago they bring this consultant in too help save money, we have endless meetings, and are coming up with new ways too make more $$. Tuesday i walk into work and my boss tellls me he is accepting my resignation...I said what but Im not resigining.. Fucking old mother fuckin piece of shit, cocksucking bastard.Im trying to think of a reason not too call one of my boyz in " The Bronx" and bust his fuckin knee caps. He played me over the last two weeks, even introduced me too my replacement, he was going to help redsign the kitchen" truth is they brought him in for less $$$$$. I busted my ass for this company for 10 years. I practially grew up here, met my wife here and made some good friends. This is what a piece of shit owner does. well off to the job search !!!!!

Sorry to hear that, zino. I am sure that with your experience you will land on your feet. Put that energy toward finding a new gig, don't let it eat you up.

Been there too. It sucks. I know.
Try to forget the hate and the anger. It's hard to do...but find ways to help let it go. It can be very self-destructive.
The best revenge is to become your own boss and treat people better than you were treated.
I'm doing it and it feels great.

The ideal way would be to put up a restaurant across the street and put him out of business and bang his old lady.

You took the words right out of my mouth! Zino, sorry to hear about this lousy situation but something in your post makes me feel you have it in you to do much bigger and better things. Ten years of experience in one field makes you very marketable. Get out there and show 'em how it's done and if you need a boost just let us know!

Sorry I am to read this Sir.
You are a kind and helpful man, that you worked
for 10 yrs speaks volumes of your dedication.
I worked in a kitchen for 5 yrs before starting a family
and it is hard work indeedly.
The Fella that did this to you will get what's due to him
in the future I'm sure.
Good luck in the job search Zino, I know that you
will be sought after with your skills and experience.

It is hard work! My parents used to own a restaurant/bar. Watching them taught me that you have be firm yet understanding when you are in charge of a staff, and that being supportive and giving thanks for a job well done can be a tremendous morale booster, especially when people are stressed, which is the case most of the time in the food service industry. Learning from them helped me in dealing with associates at work. I always try to show appreciation to my staff at work when we finish particularly hard projects. You are only as good as those around you, and it's sad that your former employer never figured this out. At least now you can move on to better things, and shine on your own from there. Good Luck!!

Give me that fuckers phone number. Give me the restaurant's number. I'll take care of this choad smoker.
Screw what Arkansas said. Feel better? My own saying is this. Treat people fairly, whatever they deserve, and if someone fucks you over, fuck them over ten times worse.

Been there and seen it, numerous times. If an establishment needs to hire a “consultant”, they are borderline bankrupt. The owner/proprietor is not making long-term business decisions. He/they are looking to make a quick profit and to sell-out. You left the proverbial “sinking ship”. Others will follow and some will foresee Titanic’s demise.

Stick with it Z, you'll be fine. I think I'd rather work than play Mr. Mom. That's the toughest job going.
