"Led Zeppelin are set to announce their reunion gig this week.

A press conference has been called for 4pm BST on Wednesday, September 12 in London.

As we revealed last week, singer Robert Plant confirmed that the rumors about Led Zeppelin reforming were in fact true.

He explained that the band had a meeting about show last week (September 5) and said the reunion will be for one night only.

"There's not a lot to work out as it's only going to be one-off gig," he explained.

NME.com understands that the show will be held at London's O2 Arena, possibly on November 26, and is a charity gig being organized by legendary promoter Harvey Goldsmith. "

Are any of you near there?! How cool would that be!! :D

I like quite a few Zeppelin tunes, but I have no desire to see a geriatric Page and Plant up on stage pretending they are still all that.

I have been nicely surprised at how some bands have really continued to kick butt as they get older. The Deep Purple show was killer for example. As for Page and Plant I don't know how it will be, but I sure would love to find out!!

DP still kicks ass. At least they did back in 2001 when I saw them. Morse was a great addition for them. Too bad Jon Lord isn't with the guys anymore, though. That dude's organ playing is outstanding.

I completely agree on Morse - he was fantastic!! I am not familiar with the guy they had playing the organ with them on this last show. But the show was outstanding. Ian Paice was a blast to watch too - that guy can play!!

One more note - the encore was Hush, which was so cool live!!

Ann Wilson's version of "Immigrant Song" is out on her new album today, "Hope And Glory". It's awesome.
