If you read this thread, you should know that my 8-year LOVES Journey. I took him to the show in Green Bay last October and you blew him away. When you guys did "Message Of Love" his eyes got as big as cue balls and he said "Daddy, I want to do THAT!!" screaming and pointing at you. Ever since, he listens to music a lot more deliberately, he's learning to play guitar (and he's really getting into it), and he talks about music all the time. This is in no small part because of what he saw in you and how you commanded that stage and blew the doors off with your vocals. I don't have the heart to tell him that you are no longer with the band and how bad they screwed up.
This, along with all of the recent events and revelations will make it hard to be a fan of anything they ever do inthe future. Good luck and we'll look for you on tour. Keep rockin', dude!!
Just thought you might like to know that.

Cool post, dude.

Your kid has more brains than Journey's brain trust.

That is a great story! My daughter is 7 1/2, and she loved Jeff at the Journey show we went to in 2006 as well. Her guitar teacher (she's been playing an acoustic for just over a year now) is supposed to teach her to play "Sacred Eyes," but they haven't started that yet. She sings songs from LITT ALL the time, and we must play it every time we're in the car now! I have not told her that the JSS band is playing in South Bend next weekend, because she would be really mad that I'm not taking her to the show!
