It'd be even cooler if that lineup of Van Halen was still around! :(

Well you can say that just about anything now that we are older Frank. Van Halen didn't all die in a plane crash, they are still around and we deal. :D
I'd like to see Cinderella, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister and few others get together and really have fun.
Who cares about John Mayer, what a pussy.

I saw that tour in Miami. Great, great show - all the bands were great.

Having seen Van Halen with both Sammy (1988) and Dave (1982), if I had the choice, I'd go with Van Hagar all the way. Sammy was in top form that night, as were the rest of VH.

Dokken were fighting and not getting along (they broke up that original lineup shortly after the tour), you could see the tension onstage, but they sounded really good. Got to see George Lynch throw his guitar at his techie, then attacked him side-stage.

Metallica won a lot of fans over on that tour, including me - that is, until they decided to sue their fans.

Scorpions played just before VH and kicked our asses.

I was a front desk manager at the Four Seasons back then, Scorpions totally wrecked their rooms, they had to be remodeled.

Hey, I went to this very show and I have this video! 8) Saw it on MTV sometime after I attended the show, which was fantastic, BTW. Sweet boyfriend at the time surprised me with the tickets. :D

Nearly a couple of decades later, I would learn that my husband was at the very same show on the same night with his then girlfriend. Wacky!
