This is moving, to say the least. No denying the man's talent. For a guy who can't read music, he has done quite well.

Listened to it on 'phones....sitting here w/ tears in my eyes... **shaking head**
Wow.

Say what you will about the man's "decisions" as of late...

....NO ONE can play the Guitar like Neal Schon....which makes it all that MUCH MORE heartbreaking....
:(

PS ~ HEY, Deano! Hope all is well.... 8)

Everything is fine at home.

By the way, I believe Keith Scott (BA's guitarist), to be identical to Neal.

Number one song of all time... I don't think so. I don't mind Brian Adams, his Reckless album was good. Not a fan of the rest.

Fuckhead, look it up. This song, while not my favourite, has charted number one longer than any other, in more nations, including Celine Dion's Titanic theme......

If you can't spell Bryan right, kiss my ass.

No, not back. I will never be back like I used to. This place has gone to shit, and I frankly am embarrassed of some of the content. I just thought you all might like this Neal song.

Cue the "Friga and Fro haters" now.

So fucking stupid and juvenile.

Talking to me like that will only make you look bad. There is no need to get upset, and losing your temper on a message forum, only shows you get upset easy. It's a weakness, not a strength.

It's what children do in a playground. I have never been rude to you. I don't deserve to be spoken to like that, not here, not anywhwere. I am disgusted by the language I come across here. It makes the manager look bad.

I am leaving.

Sorry Deano,I wasnt impressed. He pretty much played the vocal parts on gutiar, and the lead guitar parts that were already there and added a few riffs that he always does. It didnt do it for me.Nice clip though

Ok, I'm confused, but I'm new here and still trying to figure out who's who ... I thought you were one of them? I read your separateways blog where you talked about "Darth Friga" and "Emperor Schon". Were you criticizing the "Friga and Fro haters" or encouraging them?

I had the exact same feeling. It didn't do anything for me. He's still the king on guitar, though! I just expected to be blown away after reading this thread, and then... wasn't.

Hey Rip, aside from Schon, who are your favorite guitarists? Don't let my avatar bias you.

Yeah, I've been wondering who that is -- Richie Sambora? J/K! :P

Hmm... Yes, Neal is definitely one of my all time faves -- the guy can just do anything. Other favorites? In no real order, John Sykes, Doug Aldrich (who does a mean Sykes!), George Lynch, Alex Lifeson (very unique). I love watching Mark Kendall from Great White play live, though his studio work has a much simpler sound -- he really kicks in concert! I know I'm missing quite a few this early, but those are definitely some of my favorites. And for a more bluesy approach... SRV of course! :P

Now , THIS guy is obviously a Neal fan... check out some of his videos! Wish I could play that well...

Beyond The Thunder was far superior to Voices. Neal's grammy nomination for that CD was a token gesture - BTT is worlds beyond Voices, and the best work Neal ever did outside of his contributions to Journey...just my opinion.

I'll have to check that out -- I could swear I've seen it in stores a few years ago. I'll pick up a copy. Thanks!
