Not trying to dig up any bones here but, I watched this again and I just can't see it. Nothing against him personally but, I can't believe that "Team Journey" is comfortable with this guy. Good voice, noticeable accent, and NO stage presence at all. His band doesn't help him much though. Man, they fucking suck.

Yeah, it's pretty incredible that they chose Arnel over so many others. This dude can't even speak English clearly. Wow. Neal and Jon are out of their fucking gourds. Maybe he's gotta cut their grass in his off time. I have no idea what they're thinking. Journey is blued screwed and tattooed. Done.

If they weren't having second thoughts we would have seen an announcement by now.

They talk about how they see all of the hate mail and negative response to firing Jeff online. Two months before they canned him, they were talking about how he had brought the excitement back and the fans LOVED him. Then, they shit-can him without even talking with him, man-to-man. Fans loved Jeff. They could have gone to him and told them what direction they wanted to take the band to see if he was down with that. Instead, they fire him thinking that anybody they chose would give their eyeteeth to sing for them. They were wrong, Jeremey turned them down, and now they're in a tough spot. Deen and Ross are basically paid employees, lapdogs if you will, and have very little say.

Perhaps they should have thought this through a little more.

It's never been easy for me being a Journey fan. My friends have belittled me forever. I have a few friends that are on board, but most of them ridicule me for being a fan. I couldn't care less, I'm going to listen to what I like. If that makes me a puss then so be it.

I can imitate that character pretty well. People at work used to bug the piss out of me to imitate Karl. Great movie.

Arnel is a great singer but he won't be fronting Journey in 08.

I think he is brilliant - especially considering what a rough recording it is - and he has more stage presence than Augeri ever had. I cannot hear this accent crap at all. At times he sounded very like Perry and i can see why they picked him. If they get a song on radio - it will fool the casual listeners. (not that they will). I would 100% be up for going to a gig with him at the front.

Er, everyone has an accent......but he sounded reasonably articulate to me. No doubt he will be coached to take off any "edges" that may be heard. All the info points to him being on board.......................

I think he's awesome. And right now I think he's better and deserve better than Journey.

It's not so much about Arnel as it is about the band. He'll always be held in reference to how he was brought into the band. That's not his fault but, it will be his problem. He deserves better.

that's pretty rude, Jeremey has quite the following, and their band has no problem booking gigs. You tube isn't the end all/ be all, Prince took down all
his youtubes, not every artist is on youtube or uses it extensively. Arnel is from a small country that has many of these types of copy bands and they get quite famous over there and around Asia so of course they are going to have quite an online type following.

Yeah you're a real gentleman. You go after a guy who has never gone after anybody on these boards. Although I'm sure Jeremey could mess your world up all by himself, I am a friend of his and I will stick my neck out for the man's integrity.
