LOL I'll cut and paste what I wrote in the Survivor forum a few weeks ago...

I've been around... sort of. A friend of mine died in June and caused me to reevalute life and purpose and all that jazz. I decided I needed to hit the road, jack, and not look back, so I've been taking 18-wheeler TRUCKING lessons all summer. I should have my ACZ licence (like the US CDL I think?) within a month or so. Hopefully I can take a year off my job and just truck around North America and get my yayas out. LOL

Here's the video if you are bored out of your tree of me learning how to drive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jq26YBwO0Ao

I'm still obsessed with my music... just between working full time, trucking lessons most nights and ballroom dancing lessons on Mondays -- oh yeah, and working on my hallowe'en costume when I had spare time this month -- http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2370/179 ... 658d8d.jpg -- I'm finally getting back to some of my discussion boards!!

You are absolutely an amazing girl. I would never have the guts to drive an 18-wheeler on the freeways. More power to ya!

I found out about this about 6 months ago and order it from Borders bookstort. Love it. Mickey Thomas, I feel, does a great job. Like the other songs also.

Here's a brainbender. It wasn't invented... Chocolate is actually produced by the vibrations of soundwaves during what we like to call "post one night stand awkward silence". It manifests itself in some Belgian man's back yard. He ships it to Hershey, PA. End of story.

Wow... Nice listen. Thanks!

I added my uninformed (compared to 90% of posters here) thoughts to a few tracks. Okay, more than a few tracks. lol

1. Don't Stop Believin' - Mickey Thomas (Starship)
2. Who's Crying Now - Bobby Kimball (Toto) I'm sorry, but this was absolutely horrible
3. Send Her My Love - Kip Winger (Winger)
4. Open Arms - Tommy Shaw (Styx) Was it just me, or did this hit anyone else as a bit on the country side? Still nice.
5. Any Way You Want It - Jack Russell (Great White)
6. Faithfully - Robin McAuley (MSG, Survivor)
7. Wheel in the Sky - Kelly Hansen (Foreigner) Well hell, sign this man up! I enjoyed the hell out of this one.
8. Girl Can't Help It - John Corabi (Motley Crue) This one sounded a bit tinny.
9. Only the Young - Mark Knight (Worry Beads)
10. Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' - Chaz West (Jason Bonham Band)
11. Be Good to Yourself - Ralph Saenz (Metal Skool) This was perfection to my ears
12. Lights - Stevie Rachelle (Tuff) Can one use metal sound and smooth in the same sentence? Nice!
13. Separate Ways - Kelly Hansen (Foreigner) Good fucking god! If I'd have heard this before the original I would say the original couldn't touch this one.

How can one come out of the 80s without knowing that movie backwards, forwards, and sideways?

Glad you enjoyed it (mostly!)... I agree, some of the tracks were a bit disappointing, but I love the idea behind getting all the 80s metal guys to pay tribute to Journey. When I saw it I just HAD to buy it!!!

Dan is the vocalist...I'm glad folks are digging this tune. Look for an annoucment on MR.com regarding the re-release of our debut album. This track is sadly not on it, and for awhile was only available on MR-X. There is a long-defunct website at www.vox-tempus.com that is due to be updated any day now...E
