I wonder why those "in the know" are sitting on the latest news? By all accounts, something is going to be announced soon, plus the band may or may not be in the studio right now, etc., etc., etc. I wonder who/why those with insider information on this board are keeping the rest of us in suspenders?????

Yeah, but don't you think if they were really in the studio (with a new vocalist) something would have leaked? Besides Friga's....

There is no new news. Arnel is the band's new singer. That's it. They're in the studio cutting original music and toying with some older stuff. My guess is, just as with Augeri, they're cutting classics for tour promotion. I don't think they can legally use Steve Perry's voice for promotional purposes. Though they always do in Chicago. You hear that LP?

LP knows this as does Espee, but why go after Journey over petty shit like promos? It's the same as the Dems not impeaching those two assholes in the White House. What would be gained? Bringing negativity to an already abysmal situation is not looked on as a good thing by people watching. Journey is basically a laugh nowadays and people know it. Why would SP associate himself with a circus?

As for SP's vocals being used on concert promos before, at the time SP was receiving 1/6th of the income, that could only benefit him as well as the band.

But deano's right, why bother with something petty when it's only going to end up associating him with the circus freaks. We no longer need the clowns to make us smile. And neither does he. Hell in that last interview he did, he came off a BIT more smarmy than usual when mentioning how he's no longer in contact with them. And I detected a hint of smug but I could be wrong. Either way, it was clearly said with an eyeroll. I heard it. The way *I* heard it come across was a feeling of happy - or maybe it's grateful? - to wave his hands and go "Whoa man... leave me out of THAT shit. Not me, that's THEM."
