She feels like she's created a ruckus here and feels bad about it. She asked me to post this here.

With that said, please, let this be a peaceful thread.

I agree. She said she would be stopping in from time to time. I think she'll eventually find her stride here, or rather, others will not pay so much attention to her age and more attention to her contributions to the board. There are a few teens that post here, and as long as the interaction with those teens stays appropriate, there shouldn't be a problem.

I agree Steve. I was really hoping she would stay. I was about her age when I got into Journey, werent we all? She handled herself so well here & had such charisma. I would have loved to have read her take on things that get discussed. Maybe she'll peek in & decide to come back once in a while.

Oh & Rick, it was appropriate. Just a certain someone got her bloomers in a wad.

No shit! I get so excited when I meet people her age that are totally into classic rock. Sometimes they know a lot more than me & I lived thru it!

Phen, thanks for that tribute. Awesome, or as you'd say, "lovely"! :)

Joining in what the others have said, we hope you stop by once in a while. Our own internet celebrity! :D

But don't give up on your music, cartooning or any other aspirations you have.

Stay cool.

If you had a time machine, what would you (did it again, had to backspace & edit tho) go back & see? I'd want to go to every Perry-led Journey show I could, then check out Styx w/DDY, Foreigner w/Lou, definitely Freddie Mercury w/Queen & that's just for starters.

What a cool chick. Hope she keeps posting. Drew can expect some hits from her mentioning this place, I'll bet.

She should probably create a new username and not mention her age or anything trailing back to her real self. She's very naive about the internet.

Thanks for teaching us that, and that Drew's board needs so many improvements in that other thread. We'd be lost without you.

Hell, I was way younger than that! Thanks to having a sister who was 18 when Infinity came out (I was barely 2), and another sister who was 12-13 around Frontiers time, I've been having Journey and the like pumped into my ears basically my whole life. And I was 7 when I found Perry by myself. I always say I was born in the wrong decade because my musical taste way precedes me. Ever since I was about 6, I've always listened to the 50s-80s stations.

Ditto! I think it's just great seeing the younger generation digging the classics. :D

Thanks Rick.

I'm still here. I just felt that the video was neccessary. I'll drag my own "Euro-ass" back here on my own, thank you very much. ¬_¬ Celebrity's a bit of a strong word, but I'm flattered all the same. It's quite amusing. :P

I don't know how to post on youtube, but to Phen: Don't blame yourself for any rukus...things always get out of hand here (unfortunately)...you're a bright girl & from the sound of it, probably more mature & insightful in your young age than a lot of these 40 yr. olds. I had way more sense when I was 16 then the adults around me!
Whatever bothered some people here should have been taken to PM & the Mods could have been informed if something was inappropriate. Obviously, if no one had ever seen your physical self on youtube or known your age would this have happened? Of course, everyone should be careful in dealing with strangers on the Internet & in the world...but, you have parents.

Anyway, this can be a fun forum - some great, some to be ignored, like all forums. Come back & share your love of music - which is what this place is all about to begin with. I've found some amazing new & old music to listen to just by people sharing their favorites & through MR...and, I love that song you just posted but I didn't know that is who you were referring to before. See. :)

I'm right there with you on every Perry-led Journey show (I came along in 1984, saw them twice on the ROR tour), and Freddie Mercury/Queen - I can't believe I did not see them. And I'd go back and relive the 1989 concert of the Bee Gees that I saw (saw them in 1975, 1979 also, but 1989 was the best..and last) over and over again.

Why, thank you. I don't do anything else except draw, listen to music/sort out my CDs and store rock trivia in the back of my brain for unneccessary situations.

Wow, I go over this question every day in my head.

I'd obviously see Journey (Infinity-Departure area... I've always wanted to see them with Rolie in the line up.)

Steely Dan - 1973ish... David Palmer's a very talented, underrated singer and even though Fagen was too shy to sing live back then, I think Palmer did it well.

Rush - 1977ish.. that was around the time John (Mr Cassie - Philosophy teacher/my all time hero) saw them. I would love to see him in his youth with long wavy hair rocking out to Rush. XD Kick ass.

The Spencer Davis Group (1965) - The days when a teenage Stevie Winwood was on lead vox and keyboards. And he was so damn good! (And pretty cute back then, too..)

The Doors - (No words needed. It would simply be one helluva gig.)

David Bowie - (Ziggy era AND Thin White Duke era..... since I can't decide which I prefer. However, I've always loved Mick Ronson, so maybe I prefer Ziggy. Just. Also, I've worshipped Bowie since I was 8 or 9 years old, so if I had to choose one gig out of all of these, it would be this one.)

Methinks that I ponder about this too much. :P
Wow

Phen,

I wasn't a part of whatever went on the other night. I just read the aftermath so to speak. But, from what I hear, you're a pretty cool person with the classic rock stuff. Kind of reminds me of when I was in my teens. Everybody else was listening to Nirvana and Pearl Jam. I was still listening to Kansas, Journey, and Boston exclusively.

Yeah, today, lots of kids listens to that scene/emo crap.... it sickens me! Keeping classic rock alive is very important to me.

Great new video Phen. Glad you made it back after the unfortunate meltdown the other night. Happy Thanksgiving! (Do they celebrate that in Scotland, or is it just a USA thing?)

It's just a USA thing. Thanks anyway! To me, it would be "Happy 21st of November!" So, happy 21st of November to everyone, hahaha.
Only a month and a day till my birthday though. Huzzah. :)

Cheers! I thought I should do a video that embodies 2 things that always put me in a good mood. John Cassie and Rush.
Oh, and more video news.... my first Journey video since god-knows-when is uploading this very second. "Dixie Highway" - since it's a work of epicness. Sound quality's a bit quiet, or maybe it's just my computer.

I'll stop the rambling, and let the uploading continue.
