i have an mp3 of eric playing acoustic and singin To Be With You,,by himself... a japanese show.. he just nailed it.. a real rock n roll voice... sweet and raspy..
LOL, you can tell your a guitarist Lar.

I hear great guitar, you hear crisp and dialled in.

I can go on and on with adjectives about a voice, but don't know anything about guitar besides what I think sounds good and what doesn't.

there are many great vocalists that the masses will never know.. Eric Martin may be one of them.. i have 4 mr. big albums( first, lean into it, bump , and hey man) .. i have none of his solo stuff.. nor the TMG album.. and i love rock music! am i really really missing out on anything deb.. as far as studio stuff, that folks should have in their library?
I was absolutely thrilled when I found out both JSS and EM were performing at MRfest!
I have a few Mr. Big cds too, but play Mr. Big's Greatest Hits the most.......got all my favorites on it (Shine, Take a Walk, Daddy/Brother, Take Cover, etc.)

TMG is more along the lines of rock like mr. big and his solo stuff can be rockish (I'm Going Sane) or more soulful/mellow (Somewhere In The Middle). Both sides of his voice are great, but I find myself listening to his soaring ballads/rocking out vocals a little more.

Looking for some of his early Eric Martin Band stuff now.
