Try the Motley Crue one the end of Girls, Girls, Girls.

Far superior to the one Stevie Mowtown had Journey playing in 86-87.

But I think "Night At The Spectrum" from the ROR has a good quality sounding of Journey's poor quality rendition of the song.

:( oh Steve what were u trying to do. Average peformance of LTS, and then at times he just sounded like he was shouting during JHR. Dont like to say it but the King would not be impressed.

OH well i can forgive, considering 95percent of everything else he has done is fantastic.

I believe that was a New Years Eve party show and SP and co. were partying as well.

I was at one of those shows...I remember Perry’s awful rendition of that song, with him shoving his ass into one of the cameras on stage. What the fuck was he thinking? Must have been the coke.

I was there, present at that show. Long Beach, CA. I can't say for sure they were partying and I would imagine SP was NOT, but they definitely were loose. I loved it.

I have Detroit 86 if you want it.

I have to agree with ya, Jailhouse Rock is about the only cover that Journey and/or Perry has done that I wasn't thrilled with. :?

Detroit's got another shitty version of JHR and some other Mowtown lead balloons they rolled out.

But it is a good quality boot (radio broadcast), though a little inferior to Night At The Spectrum in sound.

What? While I'll agree with ya on JHR, I totally enjoyed Stand By Me. Perry gives great Motown. :)

Agree with ya on the Philly (Spectrum) boot, the best boot I've heard of the ROR ones. Detroit close 2nd.
