Heartfelt?

It pains me to say this, but Neal is so good at what he does, and Cain is a good songwriter, that they will forge on and be a mildly successful concert draw in the area of 5,000- 7,000 seats. Arnel has tremendous pipes. I have always been in awe of that dudes vocals, despite the crap that has happened. Azoff will get them tied to Walmart and they will move a few units, but nothing like St John was hyping. He was on some kind of super meth when he was going off. Other than that, no TV talk shows, no special promos, no push from Grandpa. They will live out the year, make a million apiece, and go to pasture next year or the year after. I am sure their CD will be good, being that they actually went to a studio and did it right unlike Generations.

God that hurt to say all that positive crap.

As for the New Years attire, I have to change out of it because it's Primary season. Suit and tie for Av.

I'm interested in a little elaboration on that statement....are you referring to a new studio cd with new music, or the re-workings of the old songs that everyone says IS indeed happening as we speak? Your opinion has intrigued me since the day I started here, this one I just felt like asking on.

Generations was slapped together in a few hours, and they dusted off old songs and added "In" to a certain song to evade Perry's wrath. This time, they actually went into a studio, something never afforded Soto, and did write new tunes. I wasn't referring to any old tunes(re records) in my statement.

One point about me. I am fairly knowledgeable, a lot more than a certain Mr Head2Head, Ecliptical Journey, or Generations33 (Rich fuckin Meyers), so you can come here and get good sound info, unlike other blogs and "Digest" places. . There are people here that know a ton about this band too, like Strangegrey, St Jail, Lora, Cyndy, AR and others...I am not the know all, trust me.

You sound about like me. If it's musical..I pretty well know it. And I try to keep up with it. Music is, next to my family and my radio show....the thing that brings me the most joy in life....and Journey's music has long been a part of that. I was once called the "King of Useless Trivial Knowledge" - and was asked after 11 weeks of consistently pounding the other people at musical trivia...not to come back on Thursday nights at hooters.... I'm not, by any means, the know-all either...but I think you and I might just get along...just remind me never to incur your wrath LOL.

Almost anyone who listened to Generations could tell it wasn't the most well thought out piece of musical work! Aside from the horrible tracks, the production value of Generations was astonishingly bad. I know nothing about how CD's are even recorded. What I do know is that Generations sounded as though it wasn't even recorded in stereo. It also sounds like it was recorded in Schon's basement, instead of a recording studio! I'm still amazed that there are 5 people who actually think Generations was even remotely good! That CD was an abortion! Let's just hope that they leave the lead vocals on their next CD to Arnel. All I ask of Journey is that they don't make my ears bleed by having to listen to Neal, Cain, and Ross Valory, on vocals! It was too painful!

Okay. I'm new here. Call this a newbie question. Which Bruce...and Which Bryan....I'm to assume Springsteen....but the "Bryan" threw me off....And i've listened to my share of hair bands...but wouldn't really call them my favorite genre by any means....and...just curious...since it's more or less an afterthought (like Journey, they'll never be what they ever were)...what's your thought on bands like Zep and Queen?

Which Bryan? There is only one superstar who spells his name "Bryan."

I respect Zeppelin, and hate Queen. Brian May is great but too many cheesy shit songs IMO.

Ross can sorta warble, not for Journey though. Jon on the other hand needs to keep off the mike.

Isn't that Ross in the middle with his other band. :D

If the new cd is just remakes, I will definitely not be buying it. If it's new material and if what I hear is good, that will then be motivation for me to actually go out and purchase it.

As for the avitar, I do like it. But there seems to be more going on with it then just the New Years attire, something's moving but I just can't figure out what its doing.

I got my Jovi cover band to add "Summer Of '69" to our set a) because drunk people love that song and b) it really sounds like a Jovi song that never was. Never got into Bryan Adams much besides that but that is a great effing song.

Bryan Adams is huge!!!
several number 1 hits/albums
grammys
the king of movie soundtrack hits
tremendous duet songs with turner,streisand,raitt
some of his best stuff is on the lesser known cds...into the fire,on a day like today
One of biggest rockers out there and believe it or not he started out writing and singing disco back in the day.

Yeah I like "Run to you" and a few others, he's not too bad, he's good LIVE as well. Like any artist from that period, they are a dying breed. It's ashame theres nobody with the likes of Adams, Perry, Mercury, heaven forbid... Bon Jovi around anymore, or the likes of DIO!. Music today... well it's like everything else, it's getting worse.
