Stephen King, who has written numerous best-selling novels,
has written the script for "Ghost Brothers of Darkland County,"
with music by John Mellencamp.

This sounds interesting as hell!

Didn't pique my interest to be honest. A scary musical? Not my bag....Thought my vote for collaboration of the year would go to King and Spielberg for their upcoming "Talisman" miniseries.

GOD I HATE SPIELBERG!
Every movie, some stupid friggin' kid saves the day. Can't stand his movies. So predictable and stupid.

Stephen King, I've read SO many of his books, but his endings always piss me off.
Speaking of King, get his SON'S book "Heart Shaped Box". Pretty creepy book. His pen name is Joe Hill I think.

Oh yes. Movie adaptations too.
I swear I'm still infuriated that I spent two hours of my life watching 1408.
And for an ending like that?? Ick. It was like he got bored writing and just wrote the dumbest, easiest end.
Not that I like King's work anyways.

Spielberg gets a lifetime pass from me for Jaws, the original Jurassic Park, the original Indiana Jones, Schindler's List, and Munich (cool but underrated)...Luckily no kids in any of them...Well, except for that little Kitner boy, but he didn't exactly save the day, did he?

I read a review of Joe Hill's book and it looked interesting. Wanted to wait for paperback though.

He's gotten away with this for years....It got worse with his sobriety.

Frank Darabont's ending to The Mist was AWESOME....King said he would have ended that way had he thought about it.

Jurrasic Park- You mean where the two kids saved the day? His stuff is just so 'consumer-ready'.
Benchley's book "Jaws" was one of the best books I ever read for a long time. The movie did nothing for me. That's what happens when you read the book first. Schindler's list didn't do much for me either. Good subject matter, but ... I dunno, I probably need to watch that again. Indiana Jones was 'okay'. Then one of the sequels had a bunch of kids in it. No thanks. I think he sucks.

The Mist. I never saw it. I read the story, but never saw it. I read that:

It was the best Stephen King movie ever
It was the worst Stephen King movie ever

Reviewers I find, never know crap.

Well...Sam Neill saved the day, but I see your point. However, Michael Crichton wrote the book.

Jaws was the first "real" book I ever read. It was a Readers Digest Condensed version (anyone remember those?) and I must have been about 7 or 8 years old. I don't even remember the first time I saw the movie, but I watch it multiple times annually. One of the greatest classics of all time.

Schindler's list didn't do much for me either. Good subject matter, but ... I dunno, I probably need to watch that again.

One of the few movies I had to walk out on...A real powerful film...Forgot to put Saving Private Ryan in there too....Another quintessential war film.

Indiana Jones was 'okay'. Then one of the sequels had a bunch of kids in it. No thanks. I think he sucks.

You mean Short Round? Yeah, that did suck. But the first Indy was amazing.
