The MR frontpage says that they are playing music from their 1991 album as well as music from their new ablum at Firefest. I can't wait until it's released.

I think the new TS is going to be the 10-12-year-o d second record....

Cou d be wrong since it hasn't been crysta ized yet...

I hope @ the show they do some Journey, too, as Augeri made huge contributions to that band.

I agree! Maybe throw in a Higher Place or a Remember Me.

Agreed! I've been all up in Live and Breathe's grill, myself.

Arrival is a damn fine record. If the new Journey is anything like it, we're in for a treat.

Arrival was great... maybe TS could do Higher Place and To Be Alive Again at the show. Livin' To Do wouldn't be the same without Neal and I'm not sure how well Signs of Life (one of my faves from Arrival) would go down live... might be a little slow.

Augeri did a good job on I Can Breathe, they can toss that one out there.

Tall Stories is playing not the Steve Augeri Band.

hopefully neither he nor Jeff will do any Journey. This show is about them.

Good and awesome news about firefest V espcially for those in th UK.
Hoping that there are some US dates or at least local New York dates as well.
Not feasible for some of us to make an overseas trip money. work etc wise.
Wishing them alot of success.

Sorry guys, but w/ out Journey no one hears about Augeri.

Don't do the sour grapes, "harrumph" bit. If JSS or Augeri want to give the crowd some Journey, both put their time in, what's the matter?

That's our only shot at hearing TBA, TPIYH or any other Augeri Journey tunes. Would love to hear it.

not sour grapes, red. tall stories was in it's own right and by andrew's own review a stellar melodic rock cd. there is enough on that plus the never released songs to do that. why shouldn't he focus on what he started out doing almost 17 years ago. like i said, it is his time to show what he's got.

Seems Ho ier than thou to frown upon him doing the Journey songs he had his voice on.

And yes, TS is a good a bum and got a good review from MR.com as did Arriva and Generations.

I agree. i think that Tall Stories cd had alot of awesome songs on it. Would rather see him concentrate on that cd and the new Tall Stories cd. I do not see why he would have to play Journey things. It is a good time to show what he has got.

I don't know if this is feasable, and not knowing if there is any weird vibe between them, but I could see Steve coming out and doing something with JSS on Saturday night. Since it is a solo show for Jeff, and he normally throws a Journey tune in here and there, I think it would be easier for them to so something Journey related that night then SA trying to do it with Tall Stories the next night. Since Steve has such a professional reputation, I could see him not wanting to take advantage of the Journey catalog live with the Tall Stories guys, unless his other bandmates were okay with it.

I agree with everything everyone is saying about Tall Stories, one of my favorite CD's, but I am sure their return has a lot to do with the general success Steve had with Journey, and name recognition, at least for the folks who know MR music, and know what Steve's done recently in his career.

No sour grapes. I would just personally like to see him focus more on TS and SA music rather than Journey music.

Having said that....I would LOVE to hear TBAA, KMS, WWMA or Live and Breathe live!!

I had Tall Stories thinking over appearing at MelodicRockFest and I know JSS at the time sent Steve a text - he was up for the idea of a duet. Sadly it didn't happen.

We can only hope that another year passed, and removed from the Journey fiasco might change his mind.

It could very possibly happen. They're both going to be there this time. How cool would it be to have Steve and Jeff doing "Just The Same Way"? Wow.
