Report: Women Are World Class Fibbers

Most females lie "more cleverly and successfully than men" about everything from cheating on their spouses and shopping binges to barhopping and facelifts, according to a new book published this week.

"Women lie as a survival technique, but also to get what they want," Susan Shapiro Barash, author of "Little White Lies, Deep Dark Secrets: The Truth About Why Women Lie," told the New York Post.

Barash interviewed 500 women nationwide and found 75 percent lie about how much money they spend, while more than 60 percent admitted to cheating on their husband.

Motherhood came in second, followed by sex, their kids' accomplishments, love, family, addiction, work and infertility.

Better liars,Please! They have been lying since EVE and are still shitty liars.. When they decide to bail on you,they tell you unbelievable shit like..I forgot about my Girlfriends birthday party and I really should go..Ever hear that one? Or Something just came up a girlfriend needs my help..I had a girl that was supposed to come to take me out on my birthday who lived 4 hours away tell me her mom went in the ditch,because a Semi jackknifed in front of her.. You can't make that shit up.. When a guy lies,at least it believable..

I'm not touching this one. No way.

I do know that I have been in four relationships where one person betrayed the other - one was a marriage - and I never cheated. But I think that's just bad luck and a willingness to trust on my part, not a trend. Besides, don't men cheat more often than women?

I think men used to cheat more often than women..Now I think its pretty equal.. I see way too many married women at the bar..What are they doing at a bar? If I was married,my wife sure is hell better not be at a bar..That's were a lot of problems start!

Well, statistically-speaking, I would assume that it would have to be pretty much 50-50 unless the dude is cheating with a homo lover.

Not necessarily. You could have 50% of married men cheating with 25% of married women, or more single women having affairs with married men than...oh, screw it. You know what I mean.

I agree with you that it's probably pretty equal now. I have to ask: would it be a problem if you were married and went to a bar without your wife? Let's say you went out with the guys and happened to go to a bar. Why would it be a problem for your wife to go out with the girls and go to a bar? I still go out to bars occasionally without my husband, and he goes without me. I've never once been tempted to cheat. I've been happily married for 13 years. I just don't think it's a big deal. I trust my husband and he trusts me.

I do think that women are better liars than men!

I couldn't agree more. I heard, "I emptied the house, I'm taking you to the cleaners, I've been fuckin someone else for 5 years, and you really only have one child, not two."

Shit I got it back-wards, I've been lied to so much that I got one truthful thing heard from the bitch quoted instead, my mistake.
