For me. The end of Anyway you want it at 2:52 where Perry sings Anywayyyyyyyyyyyyy up high over the chord changes as the song fades. Man that makes me picture a rocket taking off !

Also the keyboard tone on People and places.. So sonic !!!

I have two....one is Perry's astronamical note in WITS. It took awhile for me to realize that wasn't a guitar or synth. Once I did, that blew me away.

The second is from EOTB. I can't really pinpoint a moment, but the emotive anger in that song just got me. Extremely passionate. Hell, I can go on and on about that song as well as "Troubled Child."

i was going to say- my ass and the rest of me!

first time i saw Rolie solo he was still doing the occasional journey song and "anytime" was in the set. after the show i thanked him for playing it and he said "oh, you like that one?" i was star struck. got my picture taken with him that night.... very cool. i love Gregg Rolie.

No particular order:

1- Neal and Deen's outro on "Faith in the Heartland"

2- Jon Cain's piano solo, and Neal's guitar solo in "Still She Cries"

3- The drum fill and "When the summer's gone...." part in the beginning of "Feeling That Way"

The little instrumental break in ESCAPE, right before "I'm finally out in the clear and I'm Free" and those great back ups on "I've got dreams I'm livin' for" ...aw shit, just the whole damned song!

the middle part of escape.think the same part rick is talking about.i also like the part where patiently goes from soft to hard and the voice fades and guitars come in.love the middle part and solo of schon's on the captured version of 'line of fire' ,lights fading into stay awhile on captured where the guitar is bluesy sounding.

It gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it. It's one of the most played Journey songs on my ipod and it still makes me smile.

The entire masterpiece titled “Mother, Father”

The Neal Schon solos leave me in awe wanting more. Steve Perry’s entire vocal performance; he emotes the deep lyrics with such feeling that it can’t be described. The Houston ’81 live version is even better when Perry is singing the high notes at the end and the way he slowly lowers the mike when the last notes are being played. That performance always leaves me speechless; it is just everything I want in a rock song.

Yeah, me too. Neal's first "dainty" solo, followed by his raw, angry solo. Love that whole concept.

Yes! When I first heard that part it blew my mind...

1. The opening two minutes of Of a Lifetime fom the first Album

2. The "See the stop light turn red, dont you listen to what it said" bit from "Too Late"

3. the opening bars of Winds of March and the "you are my child..." bit

1. Steve's high note in Sweet and Simple, great intimate track.

2. I second the end part of Anyway You Want It where Steve gets on top of everything

3. Neils guitar work on Can't Tame The Lion

There are loads more great Journey moments for me, these are just off the cuff.
