....and why is that word making me uncomfortable?

I mean, come on, "sunshower" was mentioned in an REO Speedwagon song.... how fruity can this new song be?

(Disclaimer: Aforementioned REO song is one of my all-time favorites. )

I like that song, actually, but I will admit that the "Butterfly" thrown into the title and lyrics pump up the gayness a good bit... would've worked better as just "She Flies Alone"

I find it interesting that Audioslave's last album was called Revelations AND Chris Cornell has a song called Sunshower.

Ah but you missed the rest of the definition, which could really be twisted into something sinister!!! A sunstorm apparently is all about the marraige of animals or the DEVIL- It could be a pretty dark song!!

The rest of the defiition:

A sunshower is an unusual meteorological phenomenon in which rain falls while the sun is shining [1]. These conditions often lead to the appearance of a rainbow, if the sun is at a low enough angle [1]. The term "sunshower" is used in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and parts of Britain, but is rarely found in dictionaries [2]. Additionally, the phenomenon has a wide range of sometimes remarkably similar folkloric names in cultures around the world [3]. A common theme is that of trickster animals, or the devil, getting married, although many variations of parts of this theme exist

In South African English, it is referred to as a "monkey’s wedding," a loan translation of the Zulu umshado wezinkawu, a wedding for monkeys [2]. In Afrikaans, it is referred to as jakkalstrou [2], jackals wedding, or also As jakkals trou met wolf se vrou, meaning "when the jackal marries the Wolf's wife."
In Hindi and Bengali, it is also called “the jackal’s wedding.” [2]
In Arabic, the term is “the rats are getting married” [2].
Bulgarians speak of bears marrying [2].
In Korea, tigers are getting married.
In various African languages, leopards are getting married.
One animal, the fox, crops up all over the world[citation needed], from Kerala to Japan (Japan also refers to it as 'Kitsune (the fox) takes a bride,') to Armenia; there’s even an English dialect term, “the foxes’ wedding,” known from the south west of England. In Calabria, it is said that “when it rains with sun, the foxes are getting married.”
In Polish, the saying is that “when the sun is shining and the rain is raining, the witch is making butter." For Filipinos, "elves are getting married", or "tikbalang" (half-horse, half-men) and a "kapre" are getting married, while in Spain it is witches, and in Greece it is the poor.
In Lithuanian, the phenomenon is described as "orphans' tears," where the sun is the grandmother drying those tears. In Russian, it's "mushroom rain," as such conditions are considered favorable to growing mushrooms.[4]
In the United States, particularly the South, a sunshower is said to show that "the devil is beating his wife." In German, the variation is "Wenn's regnet und die Sonne scheint, so schlägt der Teufel seine Großmutter: er lacht und sie weint," or "When its raining and the sun shines, the devil is beating his grandmother: he laughs and she cries." Similar phrases occur in Hungary and Holland. A regional variant from Tennessee is "the devil is kissing his wife."[

In the south sunshowers are very common. However, in this case Neal needs to check to make sure he didnt leave his balls at the ex-wifes house when he went to the Man Club.

After all, it's only rain
And let it wash away the pain

Sunshower is also a popular brand of spray on fake sun tan . Perhaps this is a song preaching against girls with fake tans and boobs.

Its also a brand of necatarine juice.

Image

Perhaps its speaking out against people with fake tans who drink nectarine juice. Hell , thats a massive demographic. I hope they dont piss that crowd off. :) there goes the much anticipated comeback :!:

I don't know what's more hilarious about this all....

The fact that Journey are releasing a song called "Like a Sunshower," or the fact that stevew2 accidentally wrote a cool haiku while making fun of Friga.

Prog, you are right that She Flies Alone would have been a better title.
