Satellite imagery of germ warfare mobile weapons labs were presented at the UN (which later, of course, turned out to be false).
Bush and Co. was grasping at anything, ANYTHING to bolster their case, including known bad intel like the repeatedly debunked Niger-Yellow Cake plot.
If surveillance technology picked up Saddam moving so much as potato gun, you better belive the White House and lapdog press would've been all over it.

As for the Jerusalem Post...Israel also denies the consensus view from all sixteen intelligence agencies that Iran has halted their Nuke program on the most recent National Intelligence Estimate. They have their own agenda.

Stalwart conservatives like Bob Novak and Pat Buchanan called this war a mistake before it began.
Those of you still defending this foreign policy knucklefuck are a different bad breed altogether.

LOL, 20 people died yesterday.

And if this report is true, why the fuck didn't the Gov't know this?

You are very astute. I can't blame Bush though. It's standard practice for the outgoing president to bring up topics that will help his own party. However, there is no way to spin this, unless you are a Fox News regular, and then your world is rosier than red right now. NOTHING is wrong, just vote republican.

And Saddam was also connected to Al Queda, oh wait, no he wasn't, they just told us that to make us feel better. Wasn't the 'evidence' for going to war in the first place also presented by US intelligence and it turned out to be completely bogus??
I don't believe a word of what they're feeding us now and I didn't then.

Man are you right on the money. Whether you are a D or an R, this administration has lost ALL credibility. Even the guys here who are cons agree. Sadly, the dumbfuck southern soccer moms will listen to anything Karl Rove feeds them.

Right now, on MSNBC, Dan Abrams, who is very respected and non partisan, is interviewing the former Democratic governor, who was jailed because of politics of Karl Rove. This will make you fucking sick, to know that some people value a governor's seat over some simple ethics.

Karl Rove, enjoy Hell. I hope you suffer every day you are there.

PS- if a sleazy Democrat did this to a Republican, I would feel the same way.

They manipulate the stupid and the more stupid, and guys like me are drawn in because every single fucking woman on there is hot and have gorgeous legs. CNN has pigs. Now MSNBC has some hotties. Since this board is so full of ... ah... global political expertise...could someone explain to me why they did bring our country into a war?

You really think they fabricated reports and searched for bogus reports just to bring us into war? You really think they sacrificed thousands of our finest young men and women for corporate profits? You really think they brought us into to Iraq, knowing they'd blow the shit out of it so Haliburton could come and and profit from rebuilding it? The place had horrible infrastructure anyway...so Haliburton could have done that even without the place getting blown to smithereens. Oh, was it so the oil tycoons could profit?

Next you'll say the price of oil is because of the war. What the hell would have happened if terrorist nations took control of the mideast and its oil?

Let's see...first they fabricated things, then they sought out as much BS as possible, then presented it to Congress as to hoodwink them into giving bipartisan support for the war. If they are as stupid as you all say, how could they have figured out to pull that off?

I don't like the fact we had to go to war any more than anyone else, but this BS that continues to be spouted makes me nauseous.

Everyone forgets that the military was stationed all around Iraq during Pres. Goodhead's terms. They were not in Kuwait and other positions on vacation. There was word this was about to happen long before Bush 2 came into office.

Did everyone forget the atrocities Suddam inflicted on his own people? Don't think he was capable of having WMDs? Oh ya, he dismantled and distroyed them and promised never to develop them again...sure...even though he actually had them and was not afraid to use them...since he did.

Did everyone forget he actually did invade Kuwait. Why did he do that? To create stability in the Mideast?

The current administration may have screwed things up during the war, but the BS being spewed as to why they went to war is just that BS.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions. That's what's great about our company. It's when folks deride, smear and accuse...without having a clue what the hell they are talking about that makes things go south.

I don't have the answers. If you're all so smart and informed...show me the facts. If not, shut the f up. Don't recreate history or spout the old rhetoric to prove your points. That may sound good, but means nothin.

Back to the game.

Yes, I do believe they did all those things, without a doubt. The track record of this administration isn't all that great.

Didn't George proclaim "Mission Accomplished" 4 years ago? Hmm.

Yes, this War is bogus on all counts and he or Cheney do not care one iota who dies in it.

Pete, heads should have rolled when Plame was outed. That is a MAJOR act of betrayal, and complete bullshit. It is chickenshit politics. Of course, that was taken care of rather neatly.

Yes, I DO absolutely believe Bush and Cheney would lie to go to war. This war was planned in 1998/99. We were going if they were elected...and guess what? They somehow, got "elected." Coincidence? Hell no.

Just as recently as last night, 60 minutes interviewed one of the Iraq War architects, Douglas Feith, who was caught re-writing intelligence reports from the comfy confines of his Pentagon office. The who's and what's which led us on the path to war have been exhaustingly detailed by both mainstream and arcane outlets alike. If you hold even a sliver of doubt about being lied to, then I call into question not just what news you're watching, but whether you're bothering to watch the news at all.

yep, I've posted about that sign and the meaning behind it on the USS Lincoln many times,
guess you can't remember it or STILL don't want to believe it, whatever ...knock yourself out
on that one.

Again, it was ordered by the ship for a 13 month deployment that was finally over for various
reasons, BEFORE Bush ever decided to come out there, but spin it however you want, I know the truth
and so do the actual officers, sailors and families that lived thru that experience.

Come on now, let's hear what hatred you can spew for that sign and what it meant, because we all
know you have the insider information on exactly how and when it was put up.

I love it.
First, you attack us for having no facts, and when the facts are presented you simply attack the source.
Most of what 60 Minutes reported last night is in the public domain anyhow.
I don't suppose you've ever heard of the Downing Street Memos or the Office of Special Plans, have you?
Oh I forgot, unless Sean Hannity said it, it must be a fib.

Things have gotten so bad under Bush that Conservative rebuttals to cold clinical facts are increasingly becoming the equivalent of the derelict brat putting his hand over his ears and screaming "I can't hear you! I can't hear you!"

What the Navy did is immaterial.
The White House signed off on it, made it, and used it as a cheap political prop.
I guess it's thru sheer happenstance that it was draped perfectly into frame as Bush made his speech?
Next you'll be telling me Bush ALWAYS wears a green flight suit on Thursdays and takes his personal fighter jet out for a spin around the block.

Before you shit out your mouth some more, let me remind you that NOTHING in this White House is unscripted.
Photo-ops and spin is about the only thing they have been consistently good at delivering.
