So a couple of hours ago I pull up to the hotel here in Green Bay, Wisconsin for the 5th trip here in 9 weeks. There is a tour bus outside and the parking lot is full. I am thinking, another convention, probably the Wisconsin State Dairy Farm Cow Udder Inspector's Annual Training or something.

I look around at the cars, however, and there are all these middle aged women getting out of them wearing black Tshirts, frizzed 80's hair and too much make up. I think to myself: "Self, these don't look like what I imagined typical cow udder inspectors looking like." The few guys I do see, seem to use the word "Dude" a lot.

I get to the front desk to check in and hear these girls SCREAM across the lobby. I ask the lady behind the counter if there is a problem and she tells me no, Bret Michaels is here, playing in the Casino tonight. :D

In looking at his website tour information, because I am (embarrassingly) not as up to speed on my Bret Michaels tour schedule as perhaps I should be, I see that in fact, he is here. This is almost like winning the lottery. OK, not really.

But it got me thinking, maybe Journey will play here sometime soon on the casino tour and I can catch them on one of my trips up here.

Hmm...I can't seem to get ANYONE to come to our casinos.

We only have 4 in North Dakota, and one of the decent ones puts on a "Music Fest" every year.

This year, they have titled the Music Fest as "The Biggest Music Event of the Summer."

The line-up is headlined by Creedence Clearwater Revisted!! Its practically a tribute band.

Our State Fair made hundreds of thousands off Def Leppard last year, and this year they didn't bring in a single rock band. I think they have trained apes putting together the music line-up.

Mmmm...Been wondering about this mini solo tour he's doing before the Poison summer tour drums up....for those who've seen it does Michaels rock hard enough solo?

Its about 100 miles from the border, but I suppose you could call it "near" in North Dakota terms. 4 Bears Casino is the name of it.
