I am SHOCKED no one else has picked up on this little
tidbit from Jeremey concerning the tour that was in the works
when he was in negotiations with the band...

Taken from his "Now It Can Be Told" thread:

Did he mean Carlos Santana playing near the end of the tour, or playing all nine months with Carlos Santana? My guess is the latter, which obviously has fallen through.

Yeah, the initial idea last year was a nine month tour with Carlos, which fell through.

Shit. That would've been awesome. I'd suffer through the awful shit Santana has put out in the last 10 years just to hear him and Neal do "Jungle Strut" at some point in the night.

I don't think Carlos would want to get on stage with Neal. I have no idea why there's bad blood there, but Neal eluded to it on the rockline interview last night.

Anyone know why Santana has a bug up his ass when it comes to Neal?

These guys are dreaming.
They have no idea just how far down the food chain they have fallen.
Rightly or wrongly, Santana is still percieved as contemporary- like Aerosmith and U2.
His videos get play on MTV and he collaborates frequently with 18-25 demo acts acts like Shakira and Rob Thomas.

Why on earth would he want to be paired with a band suffering from that chronic 80's cedar chest old people stink?

Well Carlos don't seem to be the only one whose obvious opinions on Schon are not great ones. Maybe Schon is the asshole many believe he is.
