Early releases at some Walmart stores?

Maybe some of you can shed some light on this, but do any of you know how and when they count the number of sales for the 1st week of a new release? If the SCHEDULED release is June 3, then do 1st week sales run from June 3-June 9? If so then my question is, for those who have purchased the new CD in Walmart stores already, do those sales count? It may not be a whole lot, but I really doubt that everyone who likes Journey, posts on this forum or at the Journey site. So there could be 1000's of sales that might not count if that is the case. Does anyone know for sure?

That's a really good question. I hope they count, if not, then I'll wait until after june 3 so they do count.

I dont beleive it wll matter the number will be insignificant in the overall low sales

I think sales figures are derived from items shipped to stores for resale vs. items actually walking out of the door.

Tried mine today too assuming that knowing our local Wal*Mart's knack for hiring twits, they'd have the album out already. Unfortunately. no go. Guess I am waiting til Tuesday as well.
