This question is for any of you who've heard both the new Journey remakes with Arnel and the Journey tribute album that Kevin Chalfant made. Which do you think sounds more like Steve Perry? Arnel on the remakes? Or Kevin on his Journey tribute CD?

Arnel sounds more like Perry by quite some distance - uncannily at times however the Chalfant album, taken for what it is, is more enjoyable.

I'd agree with that.

For me it is just the opposite. Chalfant's tribute was pretty decent, but he really sounded kind of hollow IMO. Though this is based on only one or two listens, I think Arnel has a bit more.....I don't know.....maybe "substance" for lack of a better word, behind the vocals.
