Thank you! I think the one below will be better once it is done. The lighting does not do it justice. It is a fun peice. :D I cannot wait to do Ari's. I am playing with so many sketches, I want it to be just right. :D

Thanks, it made my day to hear Jon liked it. And he autographed a photo of it for me when I saw him last fall. I hope it helped with the fundraiser.

You freak me out sometimes, Ginger. A sweet personality with such a demented mind.

It's really fantastic. You should be doing album covers.

Thanks.......I think  . LOL! Sorry Jana, I am a surrealist.........means my artwork is fraught with dreamskapes. I love the fantastic, and unreal. P.S. guys the Perry painting was after an interview where he says he is listening to others sing now.........frogs are becoming a bit of a trademark for me, so I painted him with a choir of frogs singing to him. I keep saying, maybe he will leave that little pond and sing for us once more. Also about the article where he asks "Who sings for me?" I got the answer! LOL! Silly but fun.......... I fused two pics, one in my av and the hair from FTLOSM. That was a feet! The photo is not in its true colors. It is actually more regular tanned skin tone. The photograph made it reddish. :?

Here is a photo with a little less red in his face, but as you can see, glare is a problem. Darn it.

Thanks Carla, I think that one will be a good one too. I have a lot of people in the coffee shop comment they like it. What cracks me up is when they ask me if I am an artist.....??????????? Or like one guy who came over and said, I like the turtle......

Favorite artists folks.........here are a few of mine:

Salvidor Dali

Graeme Base, Ari introduced me to his work. Talented aussie!

My favorite is Maxfield Parrish:

I don't know why.....His work is from the 1920's, but to this day, it still has a "fresh" feeling....I'd LOVE to see his work in a Traveling Gallery show somewhere.

His subjects - male or female - have that "ethereal" feeling / look....I can't help but wonder if the Director of "Lord of the Rings" was (in)directly influenced by how these paintings look:

 Ginger...I came across this one....I THINK you'll like it:  8)

They look almost "photographic" to me....do you see that, too?

Anyway....

HATE to admit it....but Michael Jackson(!!) brought one of his paintings "to life" in one of his Music Videos with Lisa Marie Presley.

.... does THIS look familiar....?

Did this one as a t-shirt design for a Uni choir pub crawl. The theme was 'Upside Down, Dr Kate' - a reference to a kid's show called "Mr Squiggle" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr_Squiggle) and one of the choir member Kate's trick of drinking a pint while standing on her head.

MJ should not mess with the Parrish!  I think his paintings were very well formed, soft, and well drawn. I love the detail he got.

sigh.....Boticelli......I saw that while on my Honeymoon with Mark....we went to Rome; then the Northern Tuscany region...I miss Italy... :(

"Prima" means "first"...."vera" means "green"....so, loosely translated - "first green" ....and yeah...that WOULD be Spring... 8)

When I saw the Painting of the two at the Patio....I was like, "I saw that before" - yeah; MJ stole it...

.....way back in the day, when he had the $$$ to pay the Royalty fee to replicate that Image....

It's the Adelaide University Choral Society, or AUCS, and our mascot is Audrey the Auk (which looks a lot like a penguin.) Got to share this with you, as I'm in love with the art work - this is the poster for our most recent concert, done by the sister of one of our choristers:
