My couin Mike Martello's service 10/5/66 - 6/2/09 in Whitestone at the park...ashes spread from the bridge...There will be no resting as now he is wind & water & there will be no stopping him.

Born a small humble child in Whitestone he went on to become one of the world's most awarded non asian Kung Fu teachers.
We were & still are very proud of him.

Mike had a heart condition & he lived his life learning & teaching marital arts,

My couin Mike Martello's service 10/5/66 - 6/2/09 in Whitestone at the park...ashes spread from the bridge...There will be no resting as now he is wind & water & there will be no stopping him.

His family is gathered for his service in NY & I am with them in spirit.

A part of him is in me.
No way after years of sitting I could do 3 hours at the gym & then do 2 hours lifitng heavier wieghts & harder cardio the next day & walked out ready to do more!
I feel like a giant now & there is this immense power pouring forth from the depths of me.
I now know how he felt & why he did what he did. I did try my hand at KArate in college & I still got some good moves...

Bless you Mike, I never knew how many people you have touched...you will live forever in our hearts.

I wrote this about life...

I try to see things from heavens point of view that passing is not the end but just the beginning

Passing is not the end...it is the beginning
It's like a brilliant butterfly emerging from its cocoon

Like a heavenly star that lives for billions of years only to die in an explosion called a super nova.
It bursts forth from its heavy shell & becomes part of everything.
It is then pure existence
pure energy that has infinite energy & no energy
It is part of everything & nothing
It is & it isn't
There is no greater existence
This life that we know is just child's play
we are sleeping like a moth in a cocoon
we can not see beyond our shell
til one day we emerge from the shell like a butterfly with wings to fly...

so with the winds of time he shall fly
beyond the infinitie of time so high
into the air in which we all shall breathe
at last beyond he shall be free
in the sands of time he shall unfurl his life
forever more he shall live in days and night

Thanks everyone, he was Champion with over a hundred medals in Kung Fu. He lived & breathe it..you have to to become good but too young to pass but he had a congenial heart defect.

I'm doing weight training & I'm really loving it as my muscles just soak it up. I think I feel what he felt..the rush & power pouring from deep within your core.
I'm actually loving getting back in shape.

Reminds us how precious each breath really is.
