Hi all. I've been trying to hold back but I can't stand it anymore. I have to say something about what's happening on this board, things that I have noticed and are bothering me.
I happen to have a short vacation after a long year and felt like coming back to MR. I've been completely out of the loop for a long time and I know that the best way to catch up is to read MR. This board/site is still the premiere place to keep up with everything Journey/Perry related.

Frankly, after one week of loging in here I find it annoying to read through the various Journey/Perry related threads. I swear to God it's like watching a great movie and being interrupted by bad commercials every fucking 5 minutes. I find out less about the topic and more about the latest sexual fantasies of some people on here, discover the most horrendous spelling diseases or erection issues, while I have to skip a multitude of posts filled with inside jokes that have no meaning to the rest of us. Don't get me wrong - I have enough sense of humor to understand that posts like those are fun but for cripe's sake! when 8 posts in a row are about ANYthing but the original topic, then it's becoming a pain in the ass.

And please, I don't want to hear the old lecture "Skip the posts if you don't like it". Don't worry, I skip. And skip. Humongous posts quoted over and over again until they look like the fucking Gettysburg Address. And I skip some more until my damn finger hurts. Wtf is this? Melodic Scroll?

My point is - a couple of jokes are always appreciated, sex is awesome and all, but for crying out loud leave the music/info/debates/dustup threads to flow smoothly.
Maybe it's time to make an OT thread where all of you can gather and party like it's 2012. ( We used to have a Booze Thread here and it was working great. Make a Popcorn Thread, will ya?)

Now there is a clique that don't have the brain cells to keep a balance and just goof off all the time because that's all they can do. Question. Yes I have been guilty of taking threads off topic, but that is usually after the thread has left it's purpose, or has died a death of boredom anyway. Or at times, because the constant bickering and bossiness of a few members gets hard to stomach, I try to derail what is turning quickly into a hatefest. Sometimes some of us try to add a little banter into a thread to lighten up the mood. I get sick of the I am better than you crap. No one on here is better than anyone else, I don't care how long you have been a member or who you know.

No problem on cutting down on the mindless banter, as you put it. But I would rather have mindless banter, than someone tearing someone else apart for the fun of it.

I need to add, that I am in no way aiming this at Laura who has put out a legitimate concern, or at Andrew. I am just tired of the nastiness, and I am not refering to those who jokingly rib each other.

I agree, there used to be a better mix of people that could joke as well as discuss different topics. Now there is a clique that don't have the brain cells to keep a balance and just goof off all the time because that's all they can do. They also must not get any in life so they have to come to a music forum to vent their sexual frustrations and try to get some from someone that doesn't have to actually touch them.
