I know this has been done before, but let's hear who you want to see that can still be seen - preferably a band that is at least still together even if "retired" from touring (so no SP w/ Journey nonsense or Hendrix or whatever else). Here's some of mine:

I'm so conflicted on The Eagles... they are GREAT live fidelity wise but it's like a stage full of Frigas up there... just a bunch of malcontents, minus Joe Walsh and maybe Timmy Schmit. Also, everything's strictly click track... no room for off the cuff stuff. I saw them on the Farewell I tour and thought it was great... I saw them back in the winter on the Long Road out of Eden tour and they still sounded good but it was more obvious than ever they were just in it for the money. Frey and Henley still can barely stand each other...

I don't need to see AARP-eligible guys doing backsprings across the stage or headbanging for full "showmanship" effect, but they gotta look like they're enjoying playing music for a bunch of people for $150 a ticket.

Journey - no shit - never seen them live. They're not known for frequenting north of the border.

Well, I can now cross one off my list. I just saw Night Ranger on Friday night. Man they brought it. Jack Blades is still full of lots of energy.

I'd still like to see Bruce Springsteen and maybe Steely Dan and believe it or not, Neil Diamond....because I know time is running out.

I'd love to see NR again... only saw them once about 6 or 7 years ago, it was great. Awesome guitar playing and anthems.

No kiddin Matt... I worship R30, Rush in Rio, and Exit Stage Left. I don't think Survivor's much worth seeing any more without Jimi or Dave. I'd pay $10 or so to see Frankie play a little guitar if I didn't have to go far, but that's about it. REO is great live as annoying as Cronin can get, they put on a great show. Good call on Loverboy... I'm not huge on their "greatest hits," but the last album, Just Getting Started, is one of best MR albums I've ever heard from start to finish.

i think i've seen every classic rock band (that's still around) that i want to see. it's time to discover new music! i've heard good things about mew. they opened for NIN & jane's addiction (NINJA) at o2 in london. i got there way early to see them & was told they'd be on around 7:45-8:00pm. i wandered off to eat, got back at 7:45 & discovered that JA was already onstage! i'll get another chance to see them later this week, at a smaller venue. hopefully, i won't miss them this time!

I've been fortunate enough to have seen Rush play twice, both on the Snakes and Arrows tour. It wouldn't have happened if my uncle hadn't been a huge fan. The first time we were stuck up in the risers, but the second time I scored third row seats. I just about drooled for the entire show.

I'll be seeing Jimi live in October so looking forward to that. I should be able to take KISS off that list in November, and perhaps REO this weekend, but the rest will likely have to wait until next year.

Hoping that Duran Duran gets Andy back in the band and kicks out a major tour with the new album next year. Although I'm sure that Andrew will be quick to point out the true likelihood of that happening though...

In the Minneapolis area (Brooklyn Park to be exact) with Fergie Frederiksen! Two of my favorites, should be an awesome night and I'll of course be getting lots of photos.
