Thats quite a list of judges. All the rest listed are individuals so I guess when they say Journey that means all of the band members will be judging, not only one or two. They will have to reach a consensus between 5 guys for their vote. It's cool that they are participating in something that supports and promotes songwriters.

Friga judging a songwriting contest? I hope he's going to get Steve Perry to help him judge, other wise the winner will be the first submission about lilies and blue skies on your wedding day.

I guess Journey is being invited for their PRIOR accomplishments.

DSB is at #78 On the Hot 100 Chart (the Glee cast version) It's the only Journey song to be on this chart in over a decade.

And what is the set list for Oprah, What new songs will we hear on her show? None. You will get the abbreviated versions of DSB and Faithfully.

By the way, Cloudy With A chance Of Meatballs opens this week. The original version of AWYWI has been heard in the trailer.

Royalties FTW!!

...and songs that are in thr trailer are usually not even in the movie, so if the loons are going to pay $10 just because STEVIE is featured, I'd say wait and rent it.

Monsters vs. Aliens on DVD and BlueRay, September 29. This is where the money is made (Who's Crying Now).

Remember when fans were trying to figure out someway for Journey to get some exposure? Couldn't get any radio play. People were emailing TV shows trying to get them on. Album sales sucked. Everyone thought Perry was still the lead singer.

Man, those were the days!

If you go by the music being played on the radio, in the movies and on TV, Perry is still the lead singer.

No, I'm going by Actual new music and Actual T.V appearances. And, there are a lot of " casual fans " who know that Arnel is the lead singer. Lastly, the music you're referring to is Journey, not Steve Perry.

Btw, do we have board members that are inclined to submit some entries?

I think Stevew2 should participate. I could almost imagine the wonderful lyrics. I got goosebumps just thinking about it.

I kid, isn't he a musician?

I'm sure being an O.C. beach hound makes it easier.
I was just down near Dana Point on Sunday. Didn't want to go any further and end up in LoCal (S.D. AKA Northern Tijuana)

A little easier. I like Newport, although I haven't been a lot this summer. I did go to Del Mar a couple weeks ago, first time at the Horse races. pretty cool.

I used to go to TJ every other month but that place has gotten rough. Decapitation is all the rage down there lately.

I know, we should just make it part of CA, and send in the military.
