A long interview with Jonathan Cain so I just put the relevant information below.
I do encourage everyone to read the complete interview at the link provided, it's pretty good.

http://www.boomerocity.com/jonathancain.html

We won’t hit the states until mid July – something like that. Then, we go out with Foreigner and Night Ranger. Then we’ll go all the way, probably, to the end of October. But we start in Argentina, I think, on the 15th of March – about three weeks over there, come back and then go to the UK and do Europe with Foreigner and Styx.”

What can Journey fans expect from the shows on this tour?

“Well, since we’ll have a new album out we’ll be hitting a couple of new songs. We’ll bring some new music to the stage. We’ll play the hits. We have a new sound engineer that we’re excited about – we’re bringing him out. He’s from Nashville. Other than that, it will be lean, mean rock and roll machine. That’s it! It should be a great night of hits of Foreigner, Night Ranger and Journey.”

Sounds like a K-Tel commercial.

Compare this to the last lineup. Journey, Heart & Cheap Trick. Is Foreigner a bigger draw than Heart, and is Night Ranger a bigger draw than Cheap Trick?

The trio is doing 60 dates together.

Cain on new album....

"Well, it’s very guitar driven. This album has very little of me, keyboard wise. Neal wanted to do a heavier rock album. So, this is kind of his baby. I wrote the lyrics on the thing and lots of the melodies that sit above the guitars. So, then I had to find someplace to play in the nooks and crannies.” He says, chuckling.

“It’s a very hard hitting record that has some conscience to it. It’s about lots of things – spirituality, sexuality. There’s a song called Tantra on it about tantric circles. I was fascinated with all of that. It’s definitely a departure from what we’ve done before. It’s more like a concept record. I think Arnel shines. He sounds great. It’s probably one of Neal’s best guitar albums. I think he’s on a mission on this album – to play and he did.”

Didn't they tour with Night Ranger last year? And I've seen a lot if Foreingner already, with other tours the last couple of years. I'm pretty disappointed. Why is it always the same bands. I'm more excited about Heart/Def Lep and even Bon Jovi!

But I know I'll still see them. Especially if there is a "gathering" involved.

I've only seen Night Ranger once and it was a long time ago. They were great. Never seen Kelly-fronted Foreigner. I'm very excited about this bill, and I don't even know how I'll like Arnel. I'm definitely catching a show or three on this tour. Book it.

Well then you missed them touring last year. They were here in Orlando with Night Ranger.

And Ive seen Foreigner several times the last couple years. They are good. I just was hoping for something more original than the same 5 bands swapping partners. If you haven't seen these bands, it's because you aren't buying tickets and getting out there.

Night Ranger will probably open for Foreigner and Journey - and they are the only band with the hit lead singer still in the lineup. WTF!!!

Foreigner and Night Ranger do not come around here to my knowledge... much like Survivor. Journey has come around here a couple times the last few years, but I had commitments and I still am not that sold on Arnel, so I didn't bust my ass to go see them alone. These three together, though? I'll take a chance on Arnel.

As for the tour, with three great bands on it, let's try to tentatively pencil in Cleveland for another get together. It's central and if it lands on a weekend would be perfect. This sound good to anyone else? :)

Just think about what a one minute commercial for this bill might sound like ... sound clips of Don't Tell Me You Love Me, Sing Me Away, You Can Still Rock In America, Sister Christian, Urgent, Jukebox Hero, I Wanna Know What Love Is, Cold As Ice, Separate Ways, Any Way You Want It, Faithfully and DSB. People are gonna eat that shit up, man. With gas prices expected to be through the roof (also increasing air travel rates), people are going to abandon vacations and hit a concert instead.

The karaoke Foreigner sounds a hell of a lot better than the karaoke Journey (aka Niel's Band)

I'd love to see Foreigner and Night Ranger. Too bad they don't have a real headliner. Skipping this and seeing Heart and Leppard instead.
