Eclipse & Manila DVD no longer available online at Wal-M

The Manila DVD shows as no longer available. Checked for it after I saw it listed as "out of print" on the CD Japan site. Journey's website appears to still be carrying it but who the hell goes there anymore?
Eclipse has the "Not Available at this time" in the shipping block.

When you see in my other posts that Sony is still churning out different versions of the back catalog, it makes you realize why some bands are still with the big labels and don't put their catalog in the hands of one retailer.

You can still get either one on ebay for cheap, so not sure there's any reason to press more copies.

That is what is commonly known as "build up". I know, Steve, my Mom bitched about it too.....it was always under my bed. My sisters didn't seem to have that problem!!! 8)

Those were held back for when the album "gets legs."

Shame that Sony no longer puts out Arrival and pretends it never existed.

I counted them earlier. Who knows what people thought of me, but oh well. I wasn't far off. 43 copies of Eclipse They're in the regular Journey section and then there are a bunch in an end cap display next to an Eagles CD display.

Sony actually redistributed it back out to retailers in 2008 but when it didn't move product, all the retailers knocked it down to 5 bucks to clear inventory. It moved about 370,000 units over its lifetime but with Sony in bed with Perry still, its pretty much relegated to a digital download at Amazon and iTunes now. A better fate than what's happening with the Manila DVD though.

I can picture the scene...
Archetype: 17, 18, 19...
WM Employee: Sir, can I help you with something?
Archetype: No, I'm good thanks... 26, 27, 28...
WM Employee whispering to another: Why is he counting those CD's?
Other WM Employee: I don't know. Maybe he's with the record company or something... (Walks over to Archetype)
Archetype: 38, 39, 40...
Other WM Employee: Sir, may I ask why you're counting those CD's?
Archetype: 42, 43. There are only 43 copies of this CD currently in stock! The contract demanded 50! FIFTY, GOD DAMMIT! I want to speak with the store manager... NOW!
Both employees disappear to the back room to get a manager. Archetype quietly and calmly heads to the door with a big, shit-eaten grin on his face.
