A Waco, Tx July 4th celebration featured former Journey vocalist, Steve Augeri. A letter submitted to the Waco Tribune was not a fan. The scathing review includes no less than NINE (!) references to Journey song titles.

Not the way you want it

Who's crying now? After Thursday night's Fourth of July concert featuring former Journey singer Steve Augeri, it has to be the attendees who came to enjoy a classic rock concert but instead got a pitchy, off-key start to the festivities. I can't imagine Steve Perry or Arnel Pineda lovin', touchin', or squeezin' any support for Augeri's singing Thursday night as he battled technical difficulties and lost track of where he was during the 90 minute performance, making me think he and his vocal mix had decided to go their separate ways.

I love Brazos Nights and attend their concerts faithfully; however, the Independence Show did not leave me feeling that way. I recognize this isn't the norm, but doing solid technical checks before and during highly promoted shows like these will ensure that everyone, not only the young, can enjoy these great nights. I await the next performance with open arms and trust that it will be better produced so we don't stop believin' in Waco's live music scene.

That is pretty cringe. Someone really needs to rethink their life if they went to the trouble of writing a letter, and that's what was produced.
