Before BvS, Snyder called it the "sandbox theory" where directors will still be able to branch off and do their own thing, creativity as long as they keep the some of the sand in the sandbox with connective tissues of the DC Universe films.

The issue is this "sandbox" turned into a litter box with a couple giant turds ruining it all. So, in effect, these new stand-alone movies really don't seem to care if they take their tiny bit of sand from the box....being overly connected to it is a negative thing.

Or, not worriy about all this shit and just did stand-alone movies as well as they did TDK. They tried to do what Marvel did and failed. That's the bottom line....even if they tried to do it in a different way. WB had nobody like Kevin Feige. JL was the culmination of a failed direction of the entire DCEU. They simply have no choice but to start over with a new build up to JL2. But, with lame movies like Shazzam and Green Lantern Corp being "Lethal Weapon in space," they may have more issues with that. They may as well do a Wonder Twins movie.

If Marvel had tried to follow in WB's shoes with an Iron Man or CA trilogy and tried to prop it up as their TDK, and failed in the same way as DC failed, I have to wonder what you all would have said.

Good job, Seg-EL!

And, I really want to comment on Krypton.

I really don't watch much superhero TV Shows. The only one I watch is "Agents of SHIELD". But, Krypton was a hell of a good ride. Nice story...great twists and turns. The entire Zod family tree stuff was excellent...you end up almost rooting for Gen. Zod somewhat as a "good" guy that was misunderstood...until the end and "kneel before Zod"...and teasing the next season with Doomsday being unleashed, and Seg and Brainiac in the Phantom Dimension. The show has a good future. I knoda wish they had done a Krypton movie prior to MOS...it would have been a unique way to introduce Superman. Too late now, I spose.

Don't wonder too long. I wouldn't be riding the hate train. Marvel did try to establish their Batman equivalent — with Iron Man. (Not like Stark isn't heavily Bruce Wayne-derived or anything.) Thor was their Wonder Woman. Captain America was their Superman.

Iron Man and TFA are fine movies. Their third acts could use tweaking, but they're great films. Thor is good, too (its sequel is not). Iron Man 2 felt rushed, and they admitted it was.

2012 was a big year. The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises happened. I know people who were excited for both, and I know people who waited for Rises.

WB's shared universe wasn't supposed to mirror Marvel's Iron Man-Guardians-Ant-Man-empowered buffoonery. It's too bad they "course corrected" with Justice League, a subpar film by any measure.

In hindsight it's easier to say that now because of Krypton being a success. The premise would just be way too risky and ambitious to introduce Superman on the big screen. Again, there would be no room for error. Besides, 'Krypton' only materialized in the name of Goyer because the opening sequence in Man of Steel of Krypton was so well accepted. So much so, Russel Crowe flirted with returning the Jor-El character in a prequel film. That paid off for Goyer in a big way.

But, with lame movies like Shazzam

Oh you saw it? Shazam! (The real Captain Marvel) is a big time player in the DC Universe and that will likely lead to big time things like The Rocks Black Adam and going toe to toe with Superman. There's good stuff brewing there. You know nothing of the character and there hasn't been one iota of footage shown of that movie yet so it's unfair to criticize something that hasn't been seen.

Green Lantern Corp being "Lethal Weapon in space," they may have more issues with that.

Nobody knows the status of Green Lantern at this point and we're probably ways off of that. Things will probably change as far as direction with the GL character. We have to get to a few other things first.

They may as well do a Wonder Twins movie..

Broken record.

I guess I was telling the truth when I mentioned Zack Snyder was taking an active part in producing Patty Jenkins Wonder Woman 2, especially the set pieces.

#BoxOffice: Many love to compare #SoloAStarWarsStory to #JusticeLeague. It should be noted that JL opened higher AND had a better 2nd weekend hold. By a lot. (56% to Solo’s 66%). It did that with worse reviews and a lower CinemaScore. Despite everything, the DC brand is STRONG.

Solo tanked. I guess more people prefer to remember Harrison Ford in the role, after all.

By far the best shot of Batfleck! I remember seeing that shot in the trailer for the first time and was like "Ben FUCKING Affleck.." Dude was great in BvS and there's tons of shots Snyder gave us regardless of the criticism. I'm thankful for that as a fan of iconic imagery.

I will say, after seeing many of the responses from the SW fanbase, I'm happy to be a DC fan. There's some despicable fanbases out there that show their true colors in the name of fandom and the SW crowd seems the most ridiculous (God knows there's been ridiculous names we've crossed paths with on the SHH forums) but even though the DCEU has been drug through the mud, I can't help but feel things will turn around no matter how pissed I am about the JL turnout.

That shot stuck with me ever since the teaser. It screams "This ain't Tim's or Joel's Batman!"

LOL, did you get my note about my phone biting it?

Just saw it now and replied! Get back up and running bruh 8)

We could be getting some juicy stuff at SDCC and the new slate. Rocksteady could be revealing their open concept Superman game soon! We'll see if they announce the next Superman solo at SDCC. Insiders are saying WB may wait and show Shazam! material first and get that film out there.

We could be looking at:

-Aquaman footage
-Shazam! teaser
-The Batman news
-First official pic of WW:84 (maybe Wiig as Cheetah?)
-New slate.

Can't wait.

Also a rumor (but only a rumor) that Reeves and Affleck may indeed appear together.

They'd better drop the full Aquaman trailer.

I'm really curious about Cheetah-Wiig. This is going to be something.

I have a feeling the SHAZAM movie is going to be awesome. Like Guardians, I think it's going to come out of nowhere and just nail it. Tonally, it just feels exactly what I want to see right now...

That Eideldson guy that's close to WB and works in the marketing division (I think) mentioned that though Aquaman is highly anticipated, it was Shazam that leapfrogged his excitement over AQMan from the stuff he saw when WB showed the audience some things at Wonder Con I believe. WB is silent...but they're coming.

Who is clamoring for this? Leto tried too hard to make the character his own with his gangsta take on the role.

I dunno, but Wonder Woman has scooped up another 100 million in Blu-ray & DVD sales in North America alone.
