Nice smack Daniel Son. I knew that was coming and I knew it was going to come from your keyboard. You have gotta admit though dude, women's hockey is so much better than those horse faced bitches air balling layups in the WNBA. The only thing missing with those ugly assed women are tails., so they can swat he flies off their elongated grills. Jesus Christ already. Ever see Lisa Leslie? Put a saddlecloth on her and you'll get 5-2 in the Derby.

I think both sports are full of vile looking women that spend hours in the gym/on ice because they'd have a hard time copping a feel from Richard Speck. The WNBA looks like a fucking playground full of kids conceived by the union of Condi Rice and Patrick Ewing, and women's hockey looks like the fucking Ice Capades featuring the union of Jocelyn Wildenstein and Iggy Pop.

Even women who played Hockey in the Olympics complained about the hockey. By 2014 they won't have Womens Hockey in the olympics.
It's not just about the very slow boring games. But also the facts that only Two teams (US and Canada) would win Big. (12-1. 18-0. 10-0 ). That takes away from the fun.And no tackles allowed ?! It's like telling Picasso " no brush allowed".
It's got nothing to do with men being better than women. It's simply a sport were women don't fit in as well when it comes to Olympics.
How many womens hockey game did you watch and follow ?!?!

I sincerely hope Dan, Behshad and Spongebob are being sarcastic. Women absolutely have a place in he Games and sports in general. I followed the women's hockey and while Behshad's correct in that the US and Canada are the two powers and everyone else tails way off- it's sill good hockey when those two play. IMO, they're so good, that until the world catches up, the gold medal should be a best of 3 between Canada and he USA.
You fellas going to now say Lindsey Vonn shouldn't be able to participate because she is well, a she? How about skier Jenn Heil of Canada? Bonnie Blair sucked too, right? She only won 5 gold medals. Jenn Maricuso sucks too.And before you knuckleheads bash women's hockey again, tell me Haley Wickenheiser of Canada sucks. Come on now you fuckin' chauvinists. All the women I just mentioned are 5 star athletes. Why the women bashing? I is plain stupid and sounds ridiculous.
Aside from figure skating, which isn't really a sport(it can' be a sport where judges determine the outcome), every women's event is as good as the men's except for hockey, where the power and speed are a huge glaring difference. And oh by the way Behshad, since when in the Hell is the term "tackling" used in a hockey reference? That's soccer you dipshit.
Also, I love tennis, but can anyone here honestly say a men's mach is more exciting than a women's?
Behshad wrote:They could easily replace womens Hockey in olympics with Mudd Wrestling and it'd have a bigger audience than any events in olympics.
Even knitting would be more fun to watch than womens hockey.
Lynn
if you're gonna defend womens hockey , you should at least try to watch ONE game. The. You'll understand what we mean

It's funny because just a few minutes ago I was watching the Olympics and they showed a little review of the women's hockey games! And I do get what Behshad means, about it being no competition and kind of boring as far as the OTHER countries, but it looked to me that the US and Canada was a very different thing. They said the game for the Gold was a packed stadium and it looked exciting to me from what they showed.
But what's sad to ME, is that those other countries don't back those women and encourage them and help them to be strong and better and make them feel that people care. I mean for the US and Canada to have 40 something to 2 scores against those other countries is just sadIt's too bad other countries can't follow North America's example. They are doing something right! And i think it would be equally sad for them to lose the sport for the Olympics. Im sure they had to fight hard to have it put there, and if it leaves, it would be really hard to get it back again.
I am DEFINITELY no athleteBut I really admire women who can do it! How long has women's hockey been part of the olympics?
Rockindeano wrote:I think you may be wrong on "other countries" not trying. Sweden and Finland are hockey countries through and through. You have to understand though, that Canada is a special different animal. Hockey is ALL that matters here. If the men don't win the gold, it's over for that nation. Seriously, it means that much to them. It's like what the NFL is to America. The USA women's team is kind of different because they are so good. I would say he country, he people of the USA don' really care if they win gold or no...same as for he men. Oh but since the men are in line for a possible medal, now all of a sudden, here's interest.Americans are front runners, pure and simple.
I believe women's hockey debuted in 1998 with the US winning the gold over Canada. The last two Olympics, now three, have been won by Canada, however, in Torino in 2006, Canada defeated Sweden, not the US, for the gold. So Sweden is definitely a threat, although a dark horse threat to the US and Canada.

To someone who has played the game all his life, absolutely, unequivocally, yes. Much more skill, variety, athleticism, and tension.
If you ever see the difference in person (presuming you haven't), it's STRIKING how different the two games are. On TV, it looks similar, but it's not at all. But, for both sexes, TV doesn't do their skill justice. You can't tell how big they hit the ball and how athletic they are til you see it in person
