Where do you come up w/this crap ...the downfall of Detroit is directly related to
The Big Three!!
There was a documentary about it, I think it was on PBS.
*I reconsulted my information. My bad...you're right. It was Memphis I saw this info about.

The members: Detroit’s Downfall is Kevin Gondek on vocals, Jimmey Burns on guitar, Tom Haley on bass and drummer Gary Poupard. The guys are all natives of the metro Detroit area.
The history: Playing its first show at Scalici’s in Allen Park in June 2003, the group has only been in existence for about one year. The founding rhythm section of Burns and Haley linked up with Poupard to join on drums, and through the audition process brought on Gondek to handle vocal duties. A few shows into its existence, the band decided to play the image card and go with crazy clothes and face paint on-stage. Burns adds that his personal facial image is a tribute to one of his biggest influences, Detroit hip-hop act ICP.
What's up with the name: The group’s moniker certainly doesn’t display a real “glass-half-full” type of mentality, but nonetheless means something to the band’s members. “The name Downfall represents the decaying of our world as we know it … with all the war and hatred and corruption around the world today,” said Burns. “It seems as though we are heading for the downfall of society as we know it.”
The style: Detroit’s Downfall plays what it cites as original hard rock music, and hopes that it can one day be synonymous with artists like Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper and Bob Seger.
Got anything recorded? A three-song EP is the first recorded product the band has to offer, and can be obtained free of charge at Detroit Downfall’s shows or by e-mailing the band at
downfallrockband@netzero.com. The group’s full-length debut disc will drop sometime late this year.
Tell us your future? “Our goal for our future is to try and be the next big famous band out of Detroit,” said Burns. “We’re having fun playing out and the most important thing … is being with the fans and relating with them at every show. We wouldn’t amount to anything without the support of all the rowdy and crazy Detroit fans.”
