Nope, I have no problem being the butt of the joke. You are right, most of the guys here do it but Dean is the only one that gets a free pass to do it.

Not true AT ALL. Do you see anyone giving B hell for what he said to parfait? Or anyone attacking parfait for his choice of uncalled for words? Making jokes, yes, saying we think he should grow up, yes. Everyone here gets a free pass to say what they want. Its what makes a message board a message board. The only one who can sensor that is Andrew. People here make JOKES. Yes, sometimes mean spirited. I have a HARD time believing your feelings actually get hurt by things these guys say. You've been here long enough to know it's not mean spiritedness as much as it is joking around,. And when it gets to the point where it's not joking around, the person often times deserves it. I don't think Dean did for his argument in THIS particular thread.

I can understand that. But maybe it's time for you to realize that even if the people you are mean spirited or hateful toward have not done anything to help you during rough times in your life, it's still hurtful when you do it.

It seems to me he makes things up about people and attacks them in ways that are meant to be humorous and not necessarily true. For someone such as Stu, who dean regards as a friend, to say what he did, and then saying "the truth hurts" was not the same thing. I think MOST people see a difference, but I don't expect YOU to.

as friends, I thought stu really crossed a line towards dean in a couple of parts of his posts. i get stu is very emotional over the passage of the healthcare bill and emotions run high on this subject, but maybe that post should have been more tempered regarding the personal remarks.

As friends it's not our business to pass judgment on either one of them ...it's wrong, wrong, wrong to take sides

Not really. It's a message board. MG makes judgments on here all the time re posts. I posted my feelings about it, like everyone else on here does about posts. Comments made on message boards in a public forum (not privately) are open for discussion and thoughts. I just posted how I read some of the hurtful comments. and they are both great guys. RVR is one of the best posters on here re politics and moderate thinking and deano adds to this forum greatly.

If I've counted properly, we're now up to at least five separate dust ups in one thread (I'm counting the one I see brewing that hasn't fully started yet  )and poor Fact Finder is the only one on topic, currently.

Can I be proud of the fact that I'm not (yet) involved in any of them? Pass that bong, please.

I guess what I meant was the whole taking sides thing.....we all have opinions and we all disagree from time to time....that is
what makes MR go round.

I did not mean that people should not post what they think....

Fact Finder wrote:When you buy your federally mandated, IRS enforced - either by penalty of a fine or imprisonment - health care insurance you may be buying from an insurance company that will donate a portion of what you spend for your insurance to a special fund to help pay for abortions. It is now mandatory that certain insurance carriers provide a portion of what you pay them for health care coverage to a special abortion fund – Stupak’s hastily scribbled hall pass aside, this is now law.
o There is no special fund for Breast Cancer
o There is no special fund for Heart Disease
o There is no special fund for Diabetes or MS
o There is ONLY a special fund to pay for abortions
When you sell a home in Mr. Obama’s new and improved America a 4% tax will be levied on your proceeds from the sale which will go to cover Health Care costs.
• Tanning? Apparently Dems want us all to be pasty for some reason…if you frequent tanning salons, you will pay a 10% excise tax.
• Mobility be damned! If you purchase a wheelchair, you will pay a 2.3% excise tax. I’m sure those confined to wheelchairs will consider this to be a great step forward in care.
• Pharmaceutical companies will be allowed to pass a $3 billion annual fee on to you, the consumer, in the form of more expensive drugs and medication.
• About those fines – Citizens who don’t purchase insurance would be subject to a fine of $325 in 2015 and $695 in 2016. Individuals may be subject to a charge equal to as much as 2.5 percent of their income in 2016.
• The Medicare payroll tax will now be applied to investment income, beginning in 2013.
o A new 3.8 percent tax will be levied on interest, dividends, capital gains and other investment income for individuals making more than $200,000 a year and couples making more than $250,000.
• The Medicare payroll tax will increase by 0.9 percentage point to 2.35 percent on wages above $200,000 for individuals and $250,000 for married couples filing jointly.
• A 40% tax on health benefits happens in 2018 and applies to premiums exceeding $10,200 a year for individuals and $27,500 for families. In other words, that phrase – “If you like your current insurance, it won’t change” was a big fat lie. If you have great insurance, you’ll now be taxed for the privilege. A 40% tax is a change.
• Taxes and more taxes –
o According to the Joint Committee on Taxation, a nonpartisan agency, this legislation will generate $409.2 billion in additional taxes by 2019. The Congressional Budget Office also says that the Health Care Reform legislation will impose about $69 billion in penalties for both individual and businesses who don’t meet new mandates to buy health insurance.
Here’s a really sneaky tax “increase” – if you itemize your tax returns, the deductible for medical expenses will change. You will only be allowed to deduct medical expenses in excess of 10% of your adjusted gross income. Currently that number is 7.5%.
• A medical plan tax that includes several different provisions to increase multiple taxes on things such as cosmetic surgery, cafeteria plans, health insurance providers, production and importation of drugs and medical devices, medical information providing, hospitals and the adjusted gross income floor of medical expenses.
• Doctors and hospitals will receive less compensation than they do now to control revenue streams.
• The Medicare program will see $500 billion in cuts to its program along with the Medicare tax being raised.
60% of new enrollees in health care programs will be fully subsidized by you.

Then there’s all those “incentives” laced into the legislation - strangely – only for those Representatives who voted “Yes” for this legislation.

• $300 Million more in Medicare subsidies for Louisiana
• NV, MT, WY, ND, UT all receive $2 billion in Medicare subsides
• Connecticut gets $100 Million to build a hospital
• 11 states total receive 8.5 Billion in Medicaid payments

Even the most casual observer must wonder how a struggling economy, with out-of-control unemployment can bear the burden of so much additional taxation and spending.

President Obama gloated, “This is what change looks like.”

this too me says it all... in that one paragraph... no funds for any cancer... except abortions is all you need to know about this health care plan... disgraceful and cowardly...
also I wonder when the first inner city hospitals will close due to lack of funding??? just something to ponder.... and you know... wit this economy and teachers being laid off left and right...
will the same thing be done with health care employees...nurses... ambulance drivers... care givers... etc... when funds are tight???

Secondly, Food is more then FUEL , you moron. Cooking and serving GOOD food is an art. Something you will never understand cause of the scandinavian genes in you.... no doubt someone peed in that gene pool ;)

There are many people who eat very unhealthy and dont take care of themselves,,, more so in US than in Europe...... but there is also a great way to BALANCE things and ENJOY your meals, while you also live a healthy life. Not all people eat fast food like you think. Theres a lot more to great food than your
one-sided vistion. Fast food is generally not only nasty but not even great tasting,,,,, I have had salmon the norweigian way and it tastes like shit.
You can use some imagination and add some FLAVOR to the damn food and make it a flavor party in your mouth , rather than having a fucking bland fish, swimming in your mouth with the same flavor it has in a fucking bear's mouth.

Last but not least, you came here for a visit as a guest. Dont like what you see? Then I suggest using that return ticket and get the fuck back to the shit hole you came from, where guys piss in girls mouth and girls dont know what this is :

Listen up you ugly, Swedish little midget; now you've pissed me off. I keep it civil and you come in here, as you usually does, with some retarded conspiracy theories or some wannabe Deano post. You're not the self appointed king of this place; you're a keyboard jockey, who contribute nothing to this board at all.

First of all; don't talk shit about my mom. She's a respected neonatal surgeon, and she has provided more love, care and help in this world than you'll ever, ever do. Last time I did that to someone here, it became a national crisis and I recall you were one of the people who pointed out that talking shit about ones family is uncalled for. I could go that route too, but I won't. Man, seriously; you got no shame. Why did you have to ruin this topic? And how in the blue hell is that a good post? It's just a load of shit! You guys are a bunch of bigots.

My dad is French, and my mom is half Norwegian, half Italian - and I've been in France three months every year, and lived in France the first years of my lives and for the last two. Almost my entire family live in Cannes, though some live in La Réunion (Google it), Norway and Italy. I know what good food tastes like, and that's not fried, overly seasoned crap. It's supposed to be natural, fresh and tasty. I don't expect a retard like you Beshad, to understand that food isn't so important, as the company you eat with - after all, you're just a pot bellied uncultured nobody.

Now, are you seriously talking shit about my gene pool? Are you serious, man? I want you to go in the mirror and take a hard good look at yourself. You see that ugly, receding hairline? And your narrow, beady eyes? What about those ugly ass teeth you got? Not to mention the 20 pounds extra blubber you got strapped around your waist and face. Fucking hell, dude; you're ugly! You're a ugly, pudgy, big eared loser! It's time you realize what's reality and what's not. Look at me, and look at you, man. I'd gladly beat your fat, worthless ass into a bloody pulp, but the next best thing is to helping you realize who and what you really are.

Dude, I've done more, seen more and experienced more in my 19 years, than you have or ever will. Don't ever talk to me again on this board, man. Ever.

Punk ass kid.

You calling me a Swede midget is as like me calling you a Russian. Take it as an insult or compliment.

We are having our fun here and we do respect eachother,,,, but your super wise mom and super drunk dad shouldve taught you some fucking maners. You come here , where people twice your age post here frequently and you have no shame or no desire to show some fucking respect, so you will get your ass kicked anytime you act like this, till you learn some maners, you understand?

You come to this country to visit and youve said nothing but negative,,, then get the fuck back to France and enjoy the smelly armpits of your girlfriend. We dont want you here, if you are only here to critisize the way we live.....

And not that I give a fucking shit what you think about my weight and height, but to make it clear for your dumb ass, I weight about 79 kg and 180 cm,, so you call that overweight, you skinny mimbo !? (mimbo =male bimbo ) ....

And another thing you seem to be uneducated about is that , I am one of the most cultutal people on this board.I can guarantee you that you havent done or seen a 3rd of what I have seen, kid. Thats why youre so naive and THINK youve seen it all and chose to put people down cause your dumbass brain thinks you know it all.,.... I have lived in 3 counties and I have taken the best from all three, while still looking deeper into other cultures to LEARN from them (good or bad) , instead of just sterotyping them and putting everyone down, like you do.....

You got the balls, get into one of the restaurants while youre in Florida and scream out your worthless opinions and then we will see who is the nobody after theyre done with you. You piece of shit scum, you come here brag about knowing shit, well you may know to speak 2 different languages but you sure as hell know nothing about maners and respect those older than you. Hell you dont even know how to respect your girlfriend or even yourself.

Civil enough for you, peepeeBarfait?

Don't drag my girlfriend, mom and dad into this. That's uncalled for. You can give me a hard time as much as you want, but you've just stooped to a new low. There's no fun in that whatsoever. I never go out directly to hurt someone, but when you start bringing in my family like that, which you know nothing about, just shows what kind of person you are. I don't need to fucking explain myself to you, but right now I'd personally would love to smash your pudgy face in.

Fuck you, Beshad. Seriously; Fuck you.

It's worse than that...they're on topic!

Yeah, I don't like it either. What's up with that?
I might go visit the Journey board and create my own kerfuffle.
I just heard something on the radio that I can annoy people with.

How dare you and FF come in here and think you can talk politics

Not true AT ALL. Do you see anyone giving B hell for what he said to parfait? Or anyone attacking parfait for his choice of uncalled for words? Rick, you simply do not understand what the bill entails. You obviously have gotten your information from people who do not like the bill and are smearing the truths, with lies, deception and flat out bullshit.

If you have insurance, you don't have to worry about a thing, except that if you get sick, and/or really sick, just know that you can't be dropped by your insurer nor can they jack up the premiums on you. Again, I don't understand why you are so bent out of shape on this. It's only going to help you, it won't harm you.

You really need to understand this from someone who knows what is really in the bill. Rush and Sean aren't telling you the truth. It's pretty obvious that they got to you. It's a shame too, because there is a lot of good in this thing.
