Broken Dreams - Lou Gramm
http://www.amazon.com/gp/recsradio/radi ... _krex_dp_a

Sample clip above, 3rd song. Can't find a complete clip but if you don't have Gramm's "Long Hard Look" cd, you should get it. Great album.

http://www.amazon.com/Long-Hard-Look/dp ... 076&sr=8-2

Broken Dreams

Still no news from you
And I walk through the night alone, stay away from home
I watch the midnight sky
And wonder why is the moon so cruel, shining on this fool

I've let heaven walk away
I need to feel you in my arms again
I was king for just one day
That's long enough to know, I can't let go

Now I climb this mountain high
It won't stop my heart from burning
Dreams for sale, tears and rivers running dry
It won't keep the world from turning
Oh, broken dreams for sale

Still can feel the heat, running through me with the speed of light
I need you here tonight
Memories come and go, let me love you just once again
I didn't know better then

There's a corner in your heart
A hideaway not even I can see
I grow weaker in the dark
Strong enough to know, I can't let go

Now I climb this mountain high
It won't stop my heart from burning
Dreams for sale, tears and rivers running dry
It won't keep the world from turning
Oh, broken dreams for sale

Tears and rivers running dry
It won't keep the world from turning
Oh, broken dreams for sale

Damn. I LOVE the first three Danzig albums. I bet he's still sorry he lost that band! Chuck rocked a small drumkit like few others. They had an incredible sound. I still haven't heard all of the fourth one. I like the production on the first album the best. So many kickass songs on all three...any self-respecting hard rock fan should own those.

Haha! What do you think of Danzig 4 and the last one he did, Circle Of Snakes? I read he got Tommy Victor from Prong (another band I used to like) to play guitar on CoS.

I like very much Danzig 4, actually is awesome, the guitar work is impressive, you can smell a change in this record, but turn out very good... mm i'm not too sure about Circle of Snake, is a litlle irregular, have some great tunes but others don't touch me (and yes T.V. is with them!!), the good thing is that they seem there to leave behind that industrial sound and go back to the classic one

Yeah, Glenn lost the plot for a few years with that industrial NIN-type shit. I like the first NIN album, but that's all I need.

Last night, I was checking out a bunch of Samhain live footage on Youtube. It's funny seeing Glenn with short hair (short in back, I mean, because in front it all hung in his face, the "devilock") and before he had "pumped up"! There's also a post-concert interview clip from '85 and when (forgot her name, but she looks REALLY interested in him  ) asks him what the songs are about, he laughs and goes "'Unholy Passion' is about fucking!!"

P.S. According to Wikipedia, Jerry and Doyle of The Misfits formed a group called Kryst (Christ) The Conqueror after The Misfits disbanded, and eventually got Jeff Scott Soto to sing on six songs for them! The music was released in an extremely limited edition pressing, probably on vinyl only.

Love that tune, if you haven't seen a movie called "Bitter Moon", find it and rent it. Peter Coyote acts, Roman Polanski directs. A little risque but cool movie. That song's featured in it.

Here's a great 80's classic which I can't believe hadn't made it into this thread. 1987, I used to have the "So" cd on replay. So many great tunes on it.

Mercy Street - Peter Gabriel

Odd tunes here. Don't "sound" haunting but the contrasting upbeat rhythms with roting off of bad news is rare.

Maybe the most haunting song I've heard.

I Hear Leesha - Michael W. Smith

http://www.last.fm/music/Michael+W.+Smi ... ?autostart

I Hear Leesha

Seems like it was only yesterday
She was living here
Yea, she was living here

Lord knows why He's taken her away
It isn't very clear,
no it isn't very clear

Into every life a little rain must fall
And losing one you love is hard to storm
But storms are passing

I hear Leesha
Singing in heaven tonight
And in between the sadness
I hear Leesha
Telling me that she's alright

Life goes on even after life
That's what I believe
Yea, that's what I believe

Leesha's gone, but she
will still survive
In a memory
that I'm keeping here with me

Silencing the voice of mortal tragedy
Listening to whispers of the soul
All is peaceful

I hear Leesha
Singing in heaven tonight
And in between the sadness
I hear Leesha
Telling me that she's alright
