Let's see...Jake keeps saying he is looking for a wife, but I think he wants a "proper wife for an airline pilot", like Tenley and a fun, wild girlfriend on the side which would be Vienna. I was surprised he let Gia go since she did seem really sweet, good heart (she didn't say anything bad about the others), fun & sexy...maybe, he got scared off by her tarot card reading mother. lol. And, how could this guy never have had a date in high school? What did he look like then, I wonder?

Tammy, i was thinking the samething about him.I would love to know what he looked like in high school.Cause he is really a good looking man.

When I saw him on last season with Jillian I didn't think much of him until they went shopping for cowboy attire & he took off his shirt... He does have a nice bod & he looked a whole lot better when he was in the tub last night with Gia.

I don't think it was his looks. He has said he hasn't gotten past the first date stage with a lot of women. When you're an airline pilot and nice looking, you have to wonder what is the problem. I think the way he came off last season when he kept talking about how perfect he was and that's what everybody tells him or his dialogue with Jillian last season where he was just too earnest all the time made him dry as dust. She kept wanting him to not say the right thing all the time and just be himself. In other words, he looks good on paper, but it doesn't translate chemistrywise in person. This show with all the women after him has given him a confidence booster, I think, and loosened him up.

Gia was beautiful, I agree. I missed the first half of the season, so I don't know the personalities of many of the women but based on looks alone, I felt the prettiest lady was Elizabeth from Nebraska. Unfortunately, she was also the one who played those head games...... telling Jake he wasn't allowed to kiss her until she was the last woman standing..... then, turning around & teasing him & taunting him by getting an inch from his face & saying, "You want to kiss me, don't you?" That was a total turn-off. She later confessed that she was trying to coerce him into pursuing her & all I could think of was --- WOW!!! --- what planet was she on? He was ONE man in a house with 25 women & SHE thought HE was going to pursue HER---- amazing!!!!

And the other one still standing is an almost too saccharine sweet, too innocent, but really, really great girl, who is divorced b/c her husband chearted and seems to be fragile and not over it, that he doesn't seem to have much chemistry with. I don't know that blond woman who's on now, but OMG.... I guess there was some drama with her. Anywaaaaaay, Gia is my fave based on the personalities of the women I came to know. Like I said, I think Elizabeth was the prettiest, but men don't like head games so once she did that thing with the kissing I was ready for her to go. As for Ali, I didn't like her. I thought she whined too much & played the "poor me" game. I also didn't like her whole thing about being torn between her job & Jake & hoping he would stop her from leaving. I thought that was a bluff the night she did it & she admitted it tonight (sorta) by saying she was hoping he would stop her from leaving & hoping since he's a pilot he would have "found her" after she left even if he had to fly half-way across the country. Again, I gotta roll my eyes.

I wonder if he turns them both down and goes looking for someone else, perhaps even Ali. He said she would always have a friend in him no matter what and he never said anything like that to Gia. Hmmm... The show was saying viewers would be disappointed and a finale with no happy ending would do that, though the viewers will be happier about that than a proposal to Vienna!

People were angry that Brad left Jen (one of "America's Sweethearts") for a crazy homewrecker like Angelina (the "bad girl") and even after all this time, I would bet money that people want to see Brad leave Angelina and go back to Jen. Personally, I hope she finds someone better - a good man who will be true to her. In the mean time, she should have gotten back at Brad by a fling with George Clooney. A neighbor brought over a magazine last night that said during that show with all the women, where Chris Harrison asked him if he was happy with the outcome, or whatever he said, Jake responded in the show yes. But the article said there was a very long pause b/f he answered and that was taken out. It also said Vienna's ex-boyfriend said after she came back from the show she was stalking him and his new girlfriend. I bet he picks nobody. For a guy that was he was in love with four women at one time ,that's pretty funny if he would pick none. She's not George's type. He seems to gravitate to pretty, natural dark brunettes, kind of willowy, in their early thirties. Jen is 41, albeit with a body of a 30-year-old.

And I think he's too old for Jen. She seems to be enjoying younger men.

Oh, alright already --- I confess ---- Jake picks me. I wasn't s'posed to tell anyone about that twist until the finale. LOL!!!!

Speaking of "twists," do any of you remember the reality show Boy Meets Boy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jXpKkI0C4M It aired about seven years ago, but you can still watch the episodes on YouTube. It was an interesting show b/c of the twist that only the audience knew about. It was similar to the bachelor & bachelorette except for the obvious.

The show featured a gay guy who, through the usual process of elimination, was to pick a mate out of 15 male contestants. What the bachelor & most of the contestants didn't know until right before the finale is that 7 of the contestants were straight.... that only 8 of the men were actually gay. If the bachelor managed to get all the way to the finale & pick a gay man he would win a cash prize & the couple would win an exotic trip together.

On the other hand, if a straight man was able to fool the bachelor as well as all the other contestants into believing he was gay & the bachelor picked a straight man as his date, the bachelor received nothing & the straight man won the cash.

The only real rule that I can recall the show having was that none of the 7 straight men could reveal that they were straight or they would be automatically eliminated. We, the audience, knew who was who, but the bachelor & the contestants were lead to believe that everyone was gay.

It was an interesting study of human behavior & greed, b/c some of the straight men were willing to go pretty far outside of their comfort zones just to win some money.

Well, Vienna came off better by the end b/c she is crazy about him and the family could see it. I think Jake loves her wildly-in -loveness over him. But give her six months with that family and the abrasive Vienna will be out full force.
